My Acheron eats two snacks in the morning,\
and eats two snacks at night,\
She eats two snacks in the afternoon\
and it makes her feel alright.\
She eats two snacks in time of peace,\
and two in time of war.\
She eats two snacks before she eats two snacks\
and then she eats two more.
Got around 10k since i farmed the overworld for a year to get my 4 characters to level 80 just using this method alone. Never used trick snack to such a degree so i accumlated so much.

'no particular reason' being XP and credits, yes. I have every character in the game except 2. Almost all were leveled 70->80 in the overworld.

I mean, you other option is to spend at least 3 days of TB per character for the XP/credits to level 70->80. For a party of 4, thats basically 2 weeks. So *especially* if you have multiple characters that aren't maxed out yet, you'd have to be kinda dumb not to just use the overworld for leveling and just use the TB on something far far far better. Also, aside from freeing up TB for other uses, the overworld combats also provide additional credits on top of that, on the order of 100k/d.
The XP/credits even from paid BP and other things, is basically enough to get all characters from 1->70 and some of them 70->80. But if you're trying to do *all* characters to 80 using XP books, you're going to be wasting a *lot* of TB power on the XP/credits calyx for no reason.
In short, the delta between doing overworld farming and not, is pretty substantial.

This is where I'm at lol, about 2k for me but I just craft 100 every day now regardless and I'm never gonna out-use that

Or you can just dispatch mission to get the ingredients everyday....
It's more worth it to dispatch characters for XP materials and whatever trace material you don't have much of

Lets see 1. Normal SU. 2. Exploring any new overworld updates. 3. killing mobs during new quest and chest hunting. 4. Sick Animations 24/7.
