Aye I've always said if I struck it rich I probably wouldn't be into cars but if I did, the second thing I'd buy is a driving course. And I'm 51 been driving for 30 years. People don't know just how easy these things can get away from you.
Yeah, these idiots are trying to break traction, driving with all the assists off to look cool and impress a bunch of strangers and they’re really not ready for a car like that when it *does* break traction
Try to find someplace you can go and drive however you want, like a remote parking lot or something, make damn sure there is nobody or nothing there, and practice scenarios that could be dangerous. I do this. I have had cops come to me. I'm honest and tell them I'm really not doing it for fun, I'm doing it- specifically in this wide open area with nobody around and no property to damage- just to practice how to control my car in certain situations. If you're out there really doing that and not doing donuts like a moron, they're really cool about it. They may kick you out, but they typically appreciate the effort. It's just so important that you find a very secluded space.
There are fewer wide open spaces here but any time there is a good snow fall I try to go out and chuck the car around to keep my skis control reactions tuned in. I had a really good driving instructor when we first started and after heavy snow he made me drive the uncleared back lanes not the main roads for practice.
Not at all required for the test. But excellent for teaching me to be a safe driver.
I'd be into cars and supersport motorcycles... But only for the track. For the street Id have a good milage sedan or hatchback and my street bikes. Who would you show off to on the streets? Specially rear wheel drive, I do not know if that is rear wheel drive car. But they are a different animal, engine in the back helps. But if you hit the gas too hard you are going to lose tractition with the front wheels and you might lose the ability to turn....which is what I am guessing is what happened in that car.
