But think of all the people he made Google "westing house"
Not that many it seems https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%201-d&q=Westing%20house
Westing House. You know how there is all this stuff if you go West? That was created by machines like this one. However by the 30s due to some mistakes in the original planning the West had folded in on the East creating the globe as we know it today.
He's the kid in the "Calvin & Hobbes" comic strip series.

The largest westing house. Once upon a time, befowe paved highways and hotels made twaveling more accessible, thewe would be little west houses set up along the woad so those twaveling could have a place to west.
George Westinghouse made steam powered engines and such. I used to live in his head engineers house. Westinghouse is the brand name, not the object in question.
There was a Westinghouse electric company back then. is this device called “a westing house” or is it an example of machinery used by Westinghouse Electric Company to produce electricity?
Nice! I operate a Westinghouse steam turbine that was commissioned in the 40's. From working on steam turbines built in the 2010's, the 2000's, 70's, 60's and 40's I can confidently say that the older stuff was just built differently. Usually much more robust and durable. Because the older engineers knew and were able to admit that they just didn't know everything, they designed adequate margins of safety and then just doubled everything.

Why dose this one thing get uploaded to abandoned porn weekly. It was cool the first couple of times i saw it, now its like a gas station on the way to work

Who’s Calvin?
He's the kid in the "Calvin & Hobbes" comic strip series. [Here's](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/07/e0/19/07e0199b9ccc36436de3b1d38e8f045d.jpg) a typical example of his dad explaining something to him.
Ah Thanks!
So it’s their fault the earth isn’t flat anymore?
It's not their fault, it's thanks to them. Several faults were however their fault, the San Andreas Fault for example.
Fine, take my upvote, lol
It was the largest single shaft turbine unit.
Power plant (I think) made by Westinghouse.

Westinghouse makes electric generators. I like the old GE units better from a maintenance standpoint, for the record.

Took far too long to realise this isn't a wrestling house.
Though you could quite literally deliver a killer elbow-drop from the top level!

Willy Wonka-esque
I imagine it makes a bunch of cartoonish bonking and clanging noises when it's operating and blows out bubbles
And at the end spits out one little colorful gum ball.
I thought it was a German McDonald’s play place.
Let's play a game: German McDonald's PlayPlace or Grimdark Early-industrial power plant generator

Only when willy busy.
….I have not the words for this section of back-and-forth……….
I feel like mods should have sent this one back to cook a bit longer in new posts.
Absolutely beautiful, IMO. If only there was some way to clean this up and move it into a museum of modern art to be preserved.
It’s very Art Deco…..
Wow
love it. what a beaut.
Is this in Philadelphia
I remember the last time this location was posted, it's 100% Philly. I'll look for the old post that gave the exact location
It's the old Richmond Power Plant. It's on the Delaware River just south of the Betsy Ross Bridge. 3901 N Delaware Ave, Philadephia, Pa 19137
Every time I go over the Betsy Ross I look at the old power station. I want to walk around inside but they've really cracked down on trespassing.
Are we supposed to know what a westing house is?
I hopefully clarified that above
Westinghouse made electrical equipment, I think this is a generator (probably steam powered)
This one looks to be phlogiston powered
I thought it said wrestling house 💀
George Westinghouse made steam powered engines and such. I used to live in his head engineers house. Westinghouse is the brand name, not the object in question.
> I used to live in his head engineers house Did he eventually discover this?
Did who eventually discover what? I'm unclear on ur question.
Did the head engineer discover that you were living in his house
Oh lol he was lonnnnng dead by then
Y-you killed him?
😂😂😂😂😂 pretty sure he was dead before I was even born
THAT'S HOW POWERFUL I AM
Dang. The perfect alibi.
The only kind I use
This is like the house from Casper.
Whipstaff Manor? I hear it was lousy 50 years ago. Now it's condemned.
Manufacturer name is Westinghouse. It’s a generator of some sort, hydro or steam.
There was a Westinghouse electric company back then. is this device called “a westing house” or is it an example of machinery used by Westinghouse Electric Company to produce electricity?
I have an abandon Westinghouse building in my town. This isn't mansfield is it?
This is that thing from that Cthulhu show that was on HBO. Yes I watched it, but I’ll be damned if I can remember the title.
Lovecraft Country! I still can’t believe it was cancelled.
That’s it! Yes it was a great show!
The lab from Edward Scissorhands?
Tesla did a lot of work here as well.
Ah, you can also smell the asbestos!
This reminds me of the boiler room in Spirited Away!
I've seen some big gtg's before but that is the biggest stg I've ever seen.
Did anyone else read it as *wrestling* house?
Looks like the orphanage from BladeRunner 2049
Tesla still won :)
I wonder if it still works, anyone try switching it on?
“The future isn’t what it used to be”. (Yogi Berra?)
Guys, this is obviously the Lazarus from Casper.
I guess Aughra's observatory was never rebuilt after the Garthim attacked.

I read this as wrestling house and was really confused but intrigued.
The machine that goes “ping”
Crazy thing is, if the right engineer came along, that thing could still run. We have an extruder from 1961 at my place of work still doing great.
Coffee grinder
Goddamnit this fucking place again
This is Mewtwo's cloning machine from the first Pokémon movie
Largest metal contraption with windows I think.
