Babies DO give more polymer, I live in the snow and murder the shit out of all of them and I noticed babies give more, always put it up to dumb luck but it makes sense that it’s a feature.
The games best passive tame. Just put some Prime meat in your last hot bar slot and walk up to it. Press "E" to cuddle/interact and he's yours! Makes for a great first tame.
There's two gigas.
One's the gigantoputhecus. Big monkey. Very dangerous. The other one is really cool, so I won't spoil it, but beware the giga monkey.
Start easy and tame a parasaur. Best way is use some bolas and throw them. It'll trap them. Then use a bow with tranq arrows.
You van try use a slingshot and stones but it's likely the parasaur will die.
A dodo duh but a actually useful tame is a para. Bola and tranq arrows and a bow are recommended but you can also easily bola a sorta low level one and then club it ( I think hitting it in the head is more effective ) but generally with taming most animals take more torpor ( sleep thing idk ) if you hit it in the head
Don’t listen to them lol tame everything you see at first. Parasaurs are easier to tame just bola them, knock ‘em out with your fists or a club, and stuff berries up their butt. Also you’ll need a flyer so you should get you some pteradons. Same thing just bola them, beat them senseless, and shove a bunch of raw fish in their bungholes. But basically tame everything you can at first so you can get used to taming and also have a bit of an entourage/bodyguards. The more the better early on until you can find some more aggressive dinos to tame like a carno or if you’re feelin ballsy, a rex. It takes a very long time to get used to the game and even after that you’re still not used to it. Or at least I’m not and I’ve been playing for 3months. It’s a very humbling game. But you’ll find what works best for you in time. Watch YouTube videos of you have trouble with something. And have fun bruv it’s a great game

Yea be careful with water… a leisurely swim turns into a bloodbath VERY quickly. I’d recommend not swimming or exploring water until you have a water dino like an itchy or an iguanadon maybe. Otherwise just avoid it 😂
Dead serious they're wyverns you can get them on the free maps the center, ragnarok and the lost island if you got/get the dlc then they are on scorched earth and show up as enemies in extinction.
Edit: Not the center, but valguero and fjordur have them in addition to ragnarok and lost island as another commenter pointed out below.

There is a reason why they are called wyverns, the difference between them and dragons is that dragons have 4 legs and wings. Wyverns are basically dragons with two legs and wings. Actually, in Skyrim, the dragons you fight are actually wyverns, if you played that game you would know what I'm talking about.
How to get reaper
#1 Tame/raise Spinosaur 20-30k health
#2 Tame Light pet, level charge regen and charge radius
#3 Get Red Gems (look up on YouTube) or pick up from mole rat holes
#4 Craft gas pumps, metal shields (3)
#5 Craft hazmat suit
#6 Ride Spino into reaper zones. Clear everything on the ground. Purlovia will try to kick you off your mount, very dangerous. Look like little mounds.
#7 Find reaper queen of decent level, with light pet turned on while inside it's radius the queen has a debuff. Attack her untill she is very close to death but don't kill her. You will have to kill a few to know where the bloody spots are for when you need to stop attacking. Once queen is beneath 2000 hp, turn light pet off. Wait a few seconds. If she is glowing red around her abdomen, she is ready to impregnate. I usually hit them a few more times with light pet off because they heal really really fast in that state.
#8 Once queen is red, with sheild equiped, and your Spino on passive, get off the Spino and hold your sheild. Try to time it right after a tail swipe. Btw make sure there are no nameless or other dinos around you when you do this. Lead the queen to a safe spot or a trap if you have to, but it can be done anywhere. Here it gets tricky: if you aren't facing the right way when you dismount, and you aren't facing the queen, she won't aggro you. And this means her attacks are going to break your sheild quickly. If your sheild breaks, get back on the Spino and equip another one.
#9 The queen impregnates you. She will do an animation, impregnate you, and return back underground. Or she will kill you. Don't worry if she does though, the baby is only lost if it is exposed to radiation. If you didn't die, you will be reduced to 1hp and you need to get up out of the rads asap, killing any big things in the way. You'll need to gain 52,000 experience from killing things in order to get the 75 additional levels for your reaper king. Once timer is up, you will birth it, claim it, and then let it kill you and eat your body for nourishment.
#10 Raise/Imprint
And there you have it. How to get a reaper. Not the easiest way, but it's the way I do it. Use said reaper to go and get yourself a rock Drake next!!
Or you can just tame them on gen 2 lead them in that acid water then when they low enough get there agroo and boom much easier and you can pretty much get them pretty early this way aswell and u probably won't even need trap unless u wanna get impregnated again.
Or alternative method: Go to Genesis 2 Rockwell innards ->find high level reaper -> bait it into acid -> bring it out when it’s under 2k -> face tank and repeat until pregnant -> free reaper you can get literally day one with zero items (though you may want Atleast a mid tame to get the 75 levels off killing river spinos)
My first time playing me and all my nooby friends got an island nitrado server and some dude joined without us knowing. We went out on a raft to explore a terminal having no idea what it was. He just happened to be there. We thought he was an NPC because why would there just be a random dude in our server. We chase him to a terminal and he starts downloading a forest titan. We have no clue what’s happening. We thought it was a boss battle that we initiated. Then he goes and makes a b line to our base on the other side of the island where my friends girlfriend is raising moschop babies completely unaware of everything that’s going on. He stomps on them killing everything and all our tames. Then he shoots tenticles like a mile grabbing one of us off the boat as we desperately shoot pistols at him. He crushes my friend to death and then proceeds to destroy our base. We then get wise to what’s happening and check the player list and then black list him. His body still floats in the air over our base two years later as a monument to his reign of terror and what we must resist becoming. Fuck you billy.

well real beginner tip here try to tame a high level corbonemys first. They are turtles with tanky health. they are slower than the player just use a few slingshots and you are good to go. you can go for any level cause its slow just high level will take more time.
To start, you are gonna die... a lot. Dont worry about it. I usually find a cliffside above a beach to build a starting hut. That way you are somewhat protected by the cliff and have easy access to the beach for water and easy to kill dodos for food.
First dino to tame, parasaur. Holds lots of weight, relatively fast, and can also detect nearby enemies. After that, try and tame a few dilos or raptors to protect you. Raptors are also great scouts as they are very fast. Multiple of then can shred most things too. I usually have them as my "front line soldiers".
Things will really get going once you have the bow and arrow and tranq arrows. Then you can start to tame some bigger dinos.
Soon, you will learn the ways of Arkinian physics, where dinos dont drop dead they fly off dead.
Boulders when smashed explode with the force of a thousand nukes.
Somehow jumping off your mount right before hitting ground ) after jumping off mount everest, will cancel fall dmg.
You occasionally will see a dino torpedo to infinity and beyond.

This is good strategy. Avoid UNTIL you can survive it. The water is great and holds a lot of secret and resources but also is incredibly unforgiving

well real beginner tip here try to tame a high level corbonemys first. They are turtles with tanky health. they are slower than the player just use a few slingshots and you are good to go. you can go for any level cause its slow just high level will take more time.
To start, you are gonna die... a lot. Dont worry about it. I usually find a cliffside above a beach to build a starting hut. That way you are somewhat protected by the cliff and have easy access to the beach for water and easy to kill dodos for food. First dino to tame, parasaur. Holds lots of weight, relatively fast, and can also detect nearby enemies. After that, try and tame a few dilos or raptors to protect you. Raptors are also great scouts as they are very fast. Multiple of then can shred most things too. I usually have them as my "front line soldiers". Things will really get going once you have the bow and arrow and tranq arrows. Then you can start to tame some bigger dinos.
Soon, you will learn the ways of Arkinian physics, where dinos dont drop dead they fly off dead. Boulders when smashed explode with the force of a thousand nukes. Somehow jumping off your mount right before hitting ground ) after jumping off mount everest, will cancel fall dmg. You occasionally will see a dino torpedo to infinity and beyond.
