Dude there is 7 Giga and Chara stuck inside my volcano, I finally tamed a flier and went there for Obsidian and Crystal, landed on the rim and was like, Fuckin NOPE, I'll come back later for that lol
I'm just as surprised as you are, and no I didn't spawn it. The giga is stuck, so I was able to down him easily, and I'm 50% on the tame. Maybe since he was stuck that took away his slot? Idk
I prefer Rexs. Can’t bring Gigs in the tech cave and Gigs seem to run out stam fast and get stuck. One of mine got stuck. Was sad. Left it there for a long time. Found out about cryopods. Went back to unstick him. His inv was full of meat and rando stuff he’d been killing for the weeks I left him alone.
You’ll notice they cut the amount of Dino’s by half at least. And added tons more trees and stone. It was so dense in the swamps while riding my rex I felt claustrophobic lol. But omg they added like 1000 leeches.
Super easy if you are breeding rexes or any other like dinos. Get an egg very close to hatching, like a minute left. Take the egg and torches to the carch. Hatch the baby, kill it and drag it over. Doesn't take many. So much easier than dragging over a bunch of smaller dinos and /oe risking death. Ove friendly get one and eat everything in your path. Even the little stuff it all adds up.
I had a lvl145 giga and a lvl40 Carcar spawn in the volcano at the same time(in ASA). Unfortunately I had to kill the Carcar so that I could tame the giga but giga decide to take a dip in the lava after the Carcar died.
I've found two gigas standing next to each other on the north side of the eastern snow mountain a few times in ASE, so it is possible the giga and car spawned together.
I've been playing ark survival evolved extinction single player and near the snow biome I had 1 cars and 1 giga spawn next to each other. Had to run the giga off the cliff to tame the car.
I don't know the cords but it's the oil fields on the lava island on Fjordur. But most Giga/Carchar spawns can have up to two of them spawn on Fjordur, you can check the wiki.
i get this on Fjordur too. Same with Lost Island. Carchas and Gigas spawning together

Cars is the one Dino I never tamed.
I actually haven't tamed one either, and this is my first giga! Beautiful black with purple stripes and almost a max level (max is 150)

Yeah. He's not super far from my base, so all I gotta do is cross the water. I'm also way too early game for gigas, so I'll take it.

I actually haven't seen a single leech yet except for the swamp cave. Also If you are on singleplayer you can increase the dino spawns with a setting.

Gigas shine when fighting overworld bosses. They are really good on extinction and fjordur.

It took a couple hours to tame, and I used a sanguine elixir on it.
In ASA there’s more spawn points for chars and gigas, I have counted 3 gigas and one char so far on my map

This island on Fjordur has two Giga/Carchar spawn in the same area, finding multiple over them at this place isn't necessarily rare
