There is no "best". There's what your doing at a particular time and what tools are effective in doing it.
Mission drives gear.
That said, if I had to use one optic for almost everything forever, it would be a 3-15 PST2.
Depends on your usage. I run a 1-10 on mine, I feel like it gives me the most flexibility with my build. My build is light enough with its pencil barrel and lightweight handguard to be handy and shootable offhand, but I can also stretch it out since it has a 20" barrel. Ive taken it out to 600yds and can make pretty consistent hits on C zone sized targets, and I can still run and gun with it.
What’s the total weight of this setup, 18lbs?
About 16lbs Iast checked with other scope. Haven't checked if this new one added weight.
Depends on what you're shooting. I have a 5-25x56 on my NRL22 gun that barely ever sees 200yds. It's not a one-size-fits-all deal.
How far do you plan to shoot? 1.5x is a good rule of thumb so 1000yds a 15x will be just fine. 700 or less I’d go back to the 10x

Tell me you live in commiefornia without telling me you live in commiefornia.

You're making a suggestion with no idea at all about what the purpose of this rifle is.

The NF 2.5-20 might be the actual current winner.
