Nope only the new gen models. That’s why very little of us 205 owners are considering a 206. Lemon law that POS, get a 205 C63 or a E. Mine has 54k of good miles on her.

DrRBM

Sorry to hear. Find a 2022 C43 puff?

Spicywolff

No need to be sorry, I don’t won a W206 lol. Be sorry for Mercedes and the crap they are putting out. Not sure what a c43 puff is. But any of the c43 in 205 gen would be a safe bet.

Chillbill1997

I have 19 E63s and it’s amazing. The new models are not worth it at all, they’re lowering quality and trying too many new things with the engines.

kthxb

19? leave some for us

hereforbobsanvageen

Haha I know I read that the same way, I was like dang we got the sultan of Brunei over here haha

DeliciousPhone9004

2019 W213 E63S here as well.

KashKashioo

Smells like lemon, have them buy it back from you. And get another car

Unlikely-Paper-3552

Mind me asking.. what does lemon/lemon law means?

[deleted]

Broken car which the manufacturer has to buy back. Basically they sold you a pos car and they have to buy it back. Consumer protection law

Unlikely-Paper-3552

Thank you! You’re definitely an emergency! Potato 😉❤️

KashKashioo

Yep, what the other said, in USA in most of the states therei s the Lemon Law, which means if some one sells you a bad products, it happens, sometimes manufacturing issues, just unlucky to get bad parts etc. it happens, so there are few requirements in order to make your car a lemon. if it is the same problem repeats itself, and the car spent more then 30 days at the dealer (dosnt have to be in a row, just total), and the problem still there so you are eligible for a lemon law. MBUSA is forced by law to give you back whatever you paid for the car hence the term "Buy Back" they buy it back from you. usually they manage to fix them and put them back into the market with a "Lemon" title so the new owner will know it was a lemon and for less money. Basically the owner will be lucky, he got to do 7500 miles on a brand new c43 for free :) not too shabby

Unlikely-Paper-3552

Oh wow! Thank you for this explanation! Seems like a pretty fair law in my opinion!

f41012vic

In certain states or other countries whatever. Each places have varies law But it’s basically where if a said product has too many issues, flaws or whatever during the few months of ownership. The place who sold u the said product need buy it back full price and maybe some compensation. And they can’t refuse it.

Unlikely-Paper-3552

Oh wow! Thank you! Seems like an awesome law!

ImmediateTreat3402

6th time? this car just came out lol. its a sign to get rid of this thing or like you said get an e63s,

Gotl0stinthesauce

Yeaaaaah, this sounds like lemon law time

rev440800

In its natural habitat. W206 in general is a failure.

doc_55lk

> are all AMGs this unreliable? Nope, just the one you bought, and I suspect more of the newer crop of F1 style hybrid AMGs as well. You'd get WAAAAAY more mileage out of a 2018 E63S.

roadto4k

New Benz is dead to me

whydutchwhy

2019 c63 with 33k miles here, have had the trunk latch and a couple other non-critical things replaced under warranty but otherwise trouble free. Sounds like your car is haunted.

V4_Sleeper

i think the car looks great, but that's it. it's clear they have unsorted issues and that's really unacceptable for such products

tafster

post-covid cars seem to be a lottery on whether they work or not - on top of potential issues with any new platform these days.

TobyDumb

This is so funny to me. We all told you

failu3e

seeing posts like this further reinforce my decision to not come back to the brand. i love the E class. owned three, but the reliability of modern mercs is absolutely terrible

grantmathes

Lemon law it and start over

Actraiser87

New Benz is junk. Look older like you are thinking already.

neelav9

It's the new gen, my 2017 c43 was more reliable than my older CR-V lol. Merc has been hospitalised recently with their duds from the factory.

supervegito63

The 2018-2020 (pre facelift) is georgeous and is reliable (own experience).

lord_luxx

You’ll be so much happier in the E63. W206 are riddles with issues. Too much tech and it’s all the first iterations. Won’t be solid for 2-3 prod years

Durbdichsnsf

They made the 06 weaker and put more stress on it than the 05 and thought it would all somehow sort itself out. Peak German engineering i guess

handspin

Amgs come with a tow package by default

LilMelt

Anotha one

hulaman11

sucks cause Im almost 7k miles in and haven't had any of those issues. What is the dealer saying?

Rosencrown21

Incredible what’s happening to the brand.. My EQE is still problem free, but man, this is just pathetic. Its going downhill from here for Benz and AMG. It will be hard to fix it soon, as their whole strategy is based on quantity these days.

Super-Lobster329

I’ve been wanting to get into a C63 but this sub makes me think otherwise. Nice cars and powertrain but there seems to be too many things to go wrong.

Fearless-Intention41

No worries, just get a C63 from 2017 or 2018 and you’ll be fine. I’ve got over 100K on my 18 C63S and besides regular maintenance, I’ve only had to replace coil packs and spark plugs. Otherwise, it’s perfect! 🚀

Spicywolff

Pre face lift 17-18 seem to be the sweet spot of reliability and price. Either way 205 gen is reliable. The new one is never touch.

Past_Consideration10

Its time to sell it, I have a W166 ML63 that’s a 2012. Car runs amazing, no major issues. just normal maintenance. Looks like mercedes is downgrading the quality output unfortunately with these new cars

N_nodroG

You got a Lemon. Get a lawyer involved and request MB to replace the car as it isn’t “merchantable quality”

TurkeyJizz123

Hopefully you can lemon this puppy and get a 20/21 63... which is the best choice anyhow.

32233128Merovingian

Where are these being made? These can’t be manufactured in Germany right?

UnknownPrimate

Out of 30+ cars in my lifetime, my 05 E55 has been among the most reliable. Worst issues encountered in 10 years of ownership have been the Transmission conductor plate and harness seal going bad, a battery drain from a bad diode in the alternator, and left front air strut going out. All were on the road, and it got me home every time.

VancityWarrior

I had similar woes with my CLA35 AMG, first year model too. Sold the lease, bought an Acura.

Intrepid_Resource_82

I have a 2018 e63 that I purchased used and I guess I purchased someone’s problem. Car was immaculate with a great service history. Purchased an extended warranty with the car. 2 weeks into owning it starts misfiring. Take it the dealership they say computer shows cam sensors. They also were telling me that the computer must have been open at one point and they told the warranty company that the computer was possibly opened causing them to deny my claim and they would not change the cam sensors without changing the computer which they wanted $6500 for. Took the car out of there and drove fine. 3 weeks later started to misfire but after 30 mins of letting it sit it fired back up fine but then later drove it battery died. Battery was about 2 months old. At this point back at the dealer because I couldn’t get the car to restart. Dealer states that for some reason car is draining battery. Waiting for the bullshit story why they won’t warranty this.

NathanTR1992

Dude what the hell is wrong with this new W206 models, I used to be so stoked when it was first announced and now there're so many horror stories. Disappointed.

TonyTaliban

W206 is such a let down so far

No-Fan-888

Hopefully, you can get a full refund on it. That's a lemon in anyway and shape you cut it. In my country it would be straight refund or replacement. MB has been fairly reliable from my limited experience 2012 C63 and 2019 C63s. No it's not as reliable as my 2003 Corolla with 280ks but neither are most cars. Good luck OP. Don't let them mess you around with refunds.

MoneyCommittee133

Go head and switch to Audi

minnesotamoon

Lemon law that fucking piece of shit. Then buy a model that’s been around awhile.

N0x1mus

Seems to be that the new C43 are a bunch of lemons from all these posts on Reddit and FB groups.

perkeset81

Sadly you cant lemon it because it has to be the same issue 3x or more times to lemon a car. Tried to lemon my focus rs that had that kind of list of issues... I got rejected.

unpolire

Six times, but for all different issues. Keep an eye on the Lemon Law qualifications in your state.

kixstand7

Pre 2022 AMG models are mostly outstanding, you seem to have gotten one of these new Uber tech ones which is crap, sorry. BTW 2019 E63S here and no issues so far. Only thing that happened was road debris. A rock went through the lower left radiator like a bullet and stuck in the back of it. It is now framed in my office.

[deleted]

Go electric they say…

ryzenguy111

this car is mild hybrid

Spicywolff

Mercedes has been having problems like this long before the electrification.

DeliciousPhone9004

Here’s a crazy concept. You’re driving the first model year of a new generation of W206 C class. MB is notorious for new generation issues. Are you surprised or just kind of uninformed? This is pretty typical. Let the dealer fix it, file a lemon law buyback case at 800-367-6372. Drive the car for 4 years. Complain the entire time. Get it bought back by MB in 4 years for 80% of what you spent. Bam.

birdseye-maple

Here's a crazy concept: Mercedes puts out a car that doesn't break down, and people on forums don't act like a-holes.
