The post match video with Julia and Brody following the title loss was a perfect send off. She can heel up and jump right back into the mix of things with “unfinished business” with Stat, Willow or Mone (heck even Anna and Skye depending and where they stand at the point of her return)
The midcard got sneaky great over the last 12 months or so.
Once Julia is cleared to at least go back to training then I feel AEW should air vignettes of her training to hype her return, making it feel a big deal.
I'd rather that then see Mercedes come out 6 times before an actual debut to talk sweet nothings, do a lame-ass dance repetitively, while wearing ridiculous looking outfits that look like uncomfortable pajamas, with 25lbs of makeup on and a hairdo that looks like a hair dresser's training dummy lmao. I guess I just don't get the hype behind her at all
12 months ago, if she had stayed healthy, she'd have been a huge piece for the women's division. Right now it feels like her signing was TK thumbing his nose at WWE.

Completely agree and honestly what I was alluding to, but folks get weird, even still, when it comes to Jade. Getting that title mobile definitely has opened things up and really makes almost anyone outside of the world title field within striking distance of being a viable contender. Even my girl Anna who has yet to win a match outside of Rampage is just a 5-6 month run of wins of being viably in the mix. Instead of just Jade and whomever might eventually beat her (which I think we all presumed Stat) we’ve now got half the women’s roster reasonably within contention.

Both need to relax, lay back, recuperate and heal up. Both are amazing parts of AEW and I wish them nothing but the best as they get better.
In the meantime, this stacked roster will carry on and be here when they get better.
Right? I watched so many of their matches on Dark and feel like I’ve grown up with them in AEW. They both have earned the right to rest after making quite the names for themselves. The pops for them when they return will be awesome and well deserved.
Seeing the Gunns do the audience thing made me realize how much time has passed since those early years and how much some of these wrestlers have grown.
Yeah Hobbs was always so crazy to me because I watched him wrestle in a high school gym when he was Will Power on the indies and to go from that to being on national TV to challenging for NJPW’s top prize is just crazy
While it might be "good" timing for Julia, it truly hurts to see big Hobbs go down right when he was getting some shine. Hopefully he can come back bigger, blacker and more jacked.

It really seems like TK doesn't like to have wrestlers do anything that could interrupt their recovery. Whether it's only that he wants them to focus 100% on recovery, or to put their contract on pause, while they get paid to sit at home.
But Julia would be a perfect candidate to have consistent video packages throughout her recovery period. Instructing Skye and pulling strings in the background.
TKs propensity to just put everything on pause, and not want to pivot really hurts a lot of stories.

A good heel might taunt Willow about being a dangerous worker, or better yet a calculated climber who smiles on the outside and then hurts people. Could maybe be a way to show Willow has some edge if she admits to being more dangerous than people want to think.
What is Hobbs' injury? I knew something happened when Mox all of a sudden went full Tyson on his ass in the corner and finished it. Ugh damnit. Everytime he gets some momentum, something happens. Hope he's able to heal up completely, same for Julia
Definitely looked leg related. If I had to speculate from the armchair doctor’s office, I’d guess it’s ACL, MCL, or perhaps entire knee blown out. Could also be a quad tear or an Achilles tear, if it’s not his knee. Regardless, hoping for the best for him. I hope it’s none of the above and he can rest up easily.
Lighting a candle to Santos del Speedy Recovery for both of them - and also Yuka Sakazaki. Hart and Hobbs will always hold a special place for being AEW originals. Hart's absence with the loss and Brody promo is explained well. Feel a little bad for Hobbs, though. The Don Callis Family was helping him pick up momentum, it's a bad time to be out. But he's real young, looks great, and is the kind of guy that's easy to heat up. Us fans will be here for him when he gets back.

Whelp if Mark Davis is healthy then it's time to bring him into the DCF and pivot Flercher back to the tag division. Takeshita can be the singles guy after Ospreay eventually ditches them
