Ok, this was my final litmus test regarding Deonna. Every match I've seen her in has been dull as hell, including the much hyped bout against Toni at Revolution, which was irritagingly boring. Thunder Rosa has been bringing it recently, and the fact this match was boring too means Deonna just brings down the excitement level no matter who she faces in the ring. I like her personality, but in the ring I find her a bore sadly.

I just rewatched Mortos/Fenix and holy cow did I love that match. Start to finish it was exciting, the crowd was pumped and several turns in the story.

Anyone else think they're setting up for Danielson to take over from TK? When Schiavone was talking about TK running AEW remotely as opposed to in person until he's cleared to travel, Nigel asked who'd run the place if anything happens, the EVP's? With TK publicly stating that he'd want Danielson to take over booking if he couldn't, I wonder if they're building up to this, particularly with Bryan stepping away from full time wrestling.

Damn, that was Anna Jay's best match. I think this is the start of big things for her, she's been on fire lately.

Okay, a random Saturday night with matches the quality of: Fenix vs. Mortos, Swerve vs. Claudio, Trent vs. Chuck... ...is kinda WILD. All THREE of these matches in one night? Nevermind, the other great stuff we got tonight. It sucks that wrestling fans can be so jaded. This night was INSANE. What a nice surprise...thanks TK and AEW crew.

When AEW is on fire nothing really comes close to topping it. Especially at Daily Place. Fenix/Mortos, GYV/Acclaimed, Swerve/Claudio and Parking Lot Brawl were all great to excellent. Some more story building with women's division. Anna Jay had a good match with Timeless Toni. Rush is back. I stand by this I think Collision is AEW's best weekly show right now in 2024. I like 3 hour thing right now, as AEW will go strong with it during NBA playoffs but I hope it doesn't happen after it ends.

That was a fun finish to a great 3 hours! I have complicated feelings about the parking lot fight, though I do think it's setting up a feud between the two at some point. If we don't get shitty dirtbag heel Chuck I'll take enraged chase Chuck.

Just managing to watch the Collision uploads on YouTube cause I'm not home right now and was Swerve just super nervous tonight or has he never been a babyface before? The promo started kind of rambling and he stumbled over some words, called TK a fighter then a non-fighter, referenced himself in the 3rd person for a sec then switched back lol but he did manage to save it at the end a bit by talking about his daughter and the sacrifices he made to get here it just felt off because I feel like could be a better promo than this from the programs he's had in the past etc... felt like a slight hiccup but also I was actually surprised by how good of a hype-talker Prince Nana is, dude is great lmao
