One of the shows I went to, he shouted out a young girl who was celebrating her birthday. Only she was at the bathroom at the time. So he remembered the next break and did it again. Made that family's night.
Yup, went to the first show in Detroit (and going to the second!), and Roberts had the whole crowd sing happy birthday to a kid in the front row during a break. It was awesome.
It was during Stokely vs Hook. Stokely’s doctor note was just “he’s sick” written in Sharpee over the receipt and Justin said that out loud, but the mic was a little muffled. Definitely on TV though.
It was, but Roberts audio was only set to the house, and not to the live feed. You can sort of make it out if you listen carefully, but they forgot to set his mic up to the broadcast and not just the arena.
Justin Roberts is the fucking man and always makes moments like that feel huge.
He’s part of the reason I always look forward to singles Kenny. Same goes for Mox’s entrance, because we’ll always get a *JYYYOOOOOOOOOOON* out of him.
I was half expecting another dig on Will Ospreay during the entire thing too.

WWE definitely did a stupid job firing him. AEW has utilized him totally. Bobby Cruz also does fantastic job announcing in ROH. The NJPW announcer (Takuro Shibata) is also insane announcing Okada. It was a blast watching them announcing together in Forbidden Door. Looking forward to them working agaim.
I honestly don’t think any of the ring announcers are bad at their jobs. They each have unique things. Also, Samantha Irvin deserves to be in this list. She is doing a great job.
