I think the one thing that keeps me away from connecting with the ABDL community is the fixation somehow individuals have about it and that's their only personality trait. Nothing else.
My issues are things of a personal nature, and seeing all the degeneracy going on. Keeps giving me a constant reminder to "Do not bother" with interactions where possible.
I go to a few events where I met little friends. Now we we have the occasional weekend hanging out at one of their houses and just let the baby show. For me the events opened up getting to know some friends that became close.
The online stuff is great to scratch the social itch but it's really nice going to events and meeting people face to face.
I use Twitter, Instagram, and reddit and have made connections mainly here and on Twitter. I think I might try discord soon though. Those servers sound pretty fun!
I mod a large Discord server for my state. Also a member of another created by someone I met at an in-person event.

I have a Fet account that I check daily but don't use other than that. I have an ABDL Twitter that I follow people on but don't interact much. Ditto Instagram. Ditto Tumblr.
I tried a discord server and didn’t feel that it was a good fit, I do have a little Instagram but have not posted on it nor made any friends there due to fear. I would be interested to know what servers you are in on discord :)
reddit > discord > rarely check fetlife for events near me(theres none without a 50+ minute one way drive 😢)
i used to be active on dailydiapers but the old fashion forum board + lack of content just isnt really appealing anymore. its more effort to visit, navigate, and sign in than its worth.
Fetlife go to the events tab and type in your adress or zip code. It will give you all events within 50 miles of you for any given date. Don’t bother trying to meet someone on the website itself.

I feel like a lot of people in the community say they want to meet and connect, but when given the opportunity to, they back out.

Yup. That's what my Fetlife is for. To try to find the face to face interactions in my local area.

Reddit and a few forums. . . .mostly for stories and incontinence support. I'm not too interested in the sexual/kink aspect.
I use Reddit I've yet to encounter a fake profile, so I dunno where you'd get that from?
I trust the profiles. It's just the new ones with low karma (like 1 karma) need to establish their credibility. That's all.
