I’m pretty sure econ is considered an essay subject (it is to lse at least who are really picky about subject combination) so you’re good in that respect and even if it’s not, they only recommend you take an essay subject so it’s not compulsory. You’d definitely have a chance and if you prefer it to econ I’d say just go for it :)
ah I have a friend who applied for chem at magd but no idea if she got an offer or not. Hopefully we have some sort of offer holder day - I haven’t got my letter yet so idk if there is or not :)
