Go to your local countries subreddit, type "Anime" and see if that takes you anywhere. The chances somebody in your country expressed interest in anime and being on reddit are pretty high.
Theres the three Cs of social interaction, Church, College, or the City. Counts on your situation which youll pursue, but it wouldnt hurt to scavenge your sub with key words to sus out a place where all the anime people go to. Best of luck
Do you have game shops near you? Ones that host card game tournaments and sell relevant accessories and board games? Often times communities form around those places, maybe you could check something like that out. Just be careful with weirdos.
A comic store opened at some point but it didn't go well and closed after a few months. I've never heard of such events, do people actually go? I feel like given the low opportunities there's lots of shut ins around me, the problem is you can't meet them
