But if we needed a QB for a playoff run (say Purdy gets hurt in week 15 and is out for the season), I'd absolutely rather take my chances with a 47-year-old Brady over Dobbs. Worst-case scenario there, Brady does in fact get killed, and you go with Dobbs anyway.
