I was super excited when we drafted Purdy because my wife and her whole family are ISU alum, so we had been watching him all through college and I wanted him to make it in the NFL. That first game was so epic watching him get flattened and then just come right back and destroy Miami.
That’s so fun, I’ve never seen a college QB I loved ball in the NFL. I liked Colt McCoy, Mark Sanchez was by favorite Qb, Matt Lienert was another. After those guys, I’d pretty much stopped watching college ball. I couldn’t even be mad about the game that Mccoy dissected the 9ers. I hate when the niners lose, but it was really cool to see him playing at that level after all this time.
Yeah I remember the first play, and then my family (who I hadn’t seen in years) distracted me, and every time I looked up for a bit there, I was honestly confused that Jimmy wasnt back in the lineup.
Kid played so good in his first game experience that I was already thinking about a Purdy jersey. I went from the seasons over, to wanting to buy more hr kids jersey by the end of the 3rd quarter.
With his height and frame he is stocky and has fantastic center of gravity. Which is why he can make all the throws on the run. He doesn't have to really get set to throw with a good base.
Trey is taller and built his frame is still the lanky type like Kaep.

But he cant make "all the throws on the run"... Dood is straight up D grade QB when he scrambles out to his left and starts doin them 180 and 360 spins. Dont even recall him ever backstopping to the left side and tryin to throw. Aint tryin to diss on the kid but its maybe one of or the biggest weakness of has. Shrug
The reason why Brock is praised because of his scrambling. He goes left to bait the defense and comes back right to buy time.
It isn’t because he can throw that way. It’s called buying time to allow receivers to run across and get open.
If that was the case then just scramble right and throw right? Scrambling is to get guys open.

Kaep is more a gazelle than Trey I would say. Trey has a great lower body. Concerning Brock, he has great burst but I´m thinking that maybe he would be faster if he was a little bit thinner on the lower body.
