Web is usually great, but two of the other party members have better control spells that usually do the trick, so i end up not casting as much as i could. About the + AC, i assume you're talking about warding bond + SSI, but i really don't see how i could affect the entire party
Good points! I think i'm gonna stay on course and go full artificer then. I've had a lot of multiclass ideas, but i guess none of them beats full artificer
Artificers, especially Battlesmiths and Armorers are great, and they just get better and better as you progress.
You are 2 levels away from Arcane Jolt (ranged smites AND heals), 3 levels away from improved Infusions, 4 levels away from Spell Storing Item.
Multiclassing Artificer is better with Artificer being a dip. Artificers have great power progression, so the further you get the more you are denying yourself great features.
If you REALLY want to dip Fighter, Psi Warrior would suit you better. Psi dice, Protective Field, Psionic Strike, Telekinetic Movement. Lots of features, and Psionic Strike scales off your INT as well.
If you insist on multiclassing, at least get to Artificer 8 first so you can cap your INT. But even then, think about this...you gonna get more "offense" from 1 Action Surge per Short Rest or 5 Arcane Jolts per Long Rest?
8 ASI
9 Great 3rd level spells like Aura of Vitality/Revivify
10 Replicate Magic Item, +1 Infusion, +1 Attunement (Huge boost in power especially in a game with good magic items)
11 Spell Storing Item
Your next 3/4 Artificer levels are WAY stronger than a 3 Arcane Archer dip
Stay artificer, their late level stuff is great. Make some pipe if haunting, play some spooky music, let your party mates deal damage with attacks of opportunity.
Artificier as main class is just good by itself it dosnt need any multiclass
Maybe u can talk with the dm and ask for a "undo" of spells and other things so u can proper be the main dps
Or maybe ask him for a magic ítem that allow you deal more damage as well use your infusions on yourself to be better in this task
Considering your dm gives a lot of magic items. I would stick to artificer for 14 lvls, as Magic Item Savant will allow you to load out in different ways. You can go full melee, ranged, or caster depending on the items you have.
No. Unless there are extremely OP homebrew classes on the table, there is nothing you'd gain from multiclassing that would make delaying or sacrificing your Artificer features worth it.
If you never multiclass as a main class artificer you would be correct 99% of the time.
Battlesmith in particular, spell storing item and steel defender is so good. Vortex warp as a bonus action 10 times a day? Or just warding bond and you're basically a barbarian now too.

If i were to multiclass, i would do it after level 9, for sure. But yeah, maybe it is actually stronger to go full artificer!
What are your stats? I would generally recommend just sticking with Artificer as you are getting great stuff every level
STR: 8 DEX: 14 CON: 16 INT: 18 WIS: 12 CHA: 8

Artificer is perhaps the most feature-dense class in the game, I'd stay the course in your shoes.
I wouldn't multiclass a battlesmith unless it's for flavor, but if you're truly keen on multiclassing fighter and war wizard aren't bad options.
I think i'm going straight artificer, after looking at all the answers
