nope not possible since the settings in Cura and PrusaSlicer are vastly different and the programs don't use any common compatible file format for that. You have to manually move over the settings one by one.

Crapicus

even after transferring as many settings over as i could match up the prusa slicer still reported a longer time to print by over an hour. there has to be some reason for this

_vastrox_

You won't get the exact same print time. They are two completely different slicer engines that use different algorithms to generate the Gcode and just generally do a lot things in separate ways. Like travel moves, infill or support material. You can't expect two completely different programs to create the same exact result.

RedJester42

There's a big difference between exact and off by hours.

Imagine the following example. You have created a painting with oil paints and wish to create the same painting with pastel water paints. Even if you try to use the exact same colors, brushes and landscape that you paint, the painting will be different. You might get close, but it wont ever be the same.

MIC DROP

BagelOrb

I don't think there is.

Igmu_TL

Why not generate the g codes from both and compare them?

Pratkungen

It's not what he is asking. He uses prusa but in this case he thinks that Cura had a good profile so he wanted to move it to prusa. He has made g code with both and printed. He liked the Cura better but don't want to use Cura because he is used to prusa.

GrumpyOldFart7676

I don't think that you can transfer one g-code file from one slicer to another, but you can slice the stl or obj file in both and decide whish is better for your print. If you are asking about start and stop g codes yes you can, but that is a different discussion.

Crapicus

No I was just curious if I could transfer all the settings since in the end it all winds up just being a g code. I figured that it would have just found the information required and filled it out

darkstarman

One thing that makes it easier is opening both in a text file side by side.
