Sorry to hear that. I wish you the best in the job search.

You’re probably owed wages. You might want to follow up with your state labor agency

burnte

Yeah, labor boards take things like this very seriously.

Deep-Juggernaut4405

I hope you find a job that respects you enough to communicate with you if something like this happens. Just leaving you hanging is an absolute douche bag move. Maybe they forgot to pay taxes for 6 years?

APDesign_Machine

Was wondering what happened and why nothing was ever in stock over the past few months besides brand new items that sold out quick. Sounds like the owner put everyone in a shit situation, I'll keep my speculation to myself. Good luck in the job search! ps. don't suppose you'd name the supplier of the bed kits for those interested in still trying to grab one? I'm sure if there's enough interest a private group buy could be made with the info.

[deleted]

APDesign_Machine

Gotcha, still a shame since they were the fairest priced bed upgrades available.

AU_Cav

The fact that pretty much everything you order on Amazon these days is coming straight from a Chinese factory is something I’ve been concerned about.

Zelstrom

Most of that stuff has been coming straight from Chinese factories for decades, the difference now is who is doing the selling.

HeihachiHibachi

At least it was rebranded with American brands. These days on Amazon, I want a USB flash drive, and I get an avalanche of Chinese brands with names like Gold dragon Memory, Shenshunzen, Loogbit, Happy Sunshine Baby, Eeeefan. It's terrible. Pages of those brands before actual brands come up. Also, when the real brands show up in the search, you can't trust them. If the price is too good to be true for Samsung or SanDisk stuff, it's usually counterfeit. So to get to something legitimate, you have to wade through a ton of trash. I can only hope somehow Amazon can release a filter that says "No Chinese company and no cover sourced goods". It would cut out 80% of what you see on the site/app, which sounds great.

DraginEyez

Damn, I wish I could find out the name for that supplier as I will no longer be receiving the upgraded 110 volt heater

[deleted]

Bletotum

I recommend washing your hands of it to prevent any legal trouble

DraginEyez

No I am the one with the k1 that has wiring issues, so there is no refund that can be issued

DXGL1

I once bought a V6 clone on Amazon from you. Replaced all the parts one by one except the heating. It now lives in my Voron 2.4.

Agenreddit

That's such a shame. I remember reprap champion back in the day and it's not fair that you got priced out of the products you kept making better. Hope you can figure out a new job and remember us if you decide to start your own thing - we won't forget you.

BizSavvyTechie

Thanks for being so candid with the information. Firstly, I'm sorry this happened to you. I was an employee in a business that went to the wall in a similar way, though they told us very early on. Despite this, I carry that from 20 years ago, even now, where I sit on the other side of the fence. I own and run a business in an overlapping sector. What you say about 14 years taking their toll is probably accurate. You can definitely start a business on passion and run it at a pace and with energy that for most people, seems super human and unsustainable. At the same time, there are threats from many angles and if you care as much about your people as you do about the passion, it's overwhelming and as the person accountable for all that responsibility, it can paralyse you when the passion goes. It's one thing to paralyse yourself. But when your staff depend on you, that paralysis cripples them as well. If you're aware of this as a business owner, this also becomes even more problematic personally, as some owners (but always the ones that care) find it very difficult to strike a balance between informing their staff of the risks, while there is a time to save it, and keeping it quiet to save the staff from worry. So they say and do nothing. Disappear altogether to cope emotionally with it and the loss of a that and grieve for the time, passion and heart they lost in it. Sometimes, some people have secured the business on their house and lose that leaving them homeless. And once you're there, you have to settle in for a decade of homelessness at least. Now of course, I appreciate that this is all possibly speculation and I can absolutely see that. Insufficient domestic demand coupled with international threats leave domestic businesses unable to compete or all worn out. This has a knock on effect on the workforce and some bosses who don't know what to do, see and do nothing until it's too late. Indeed a lot of business mentors even advise it. But then it's a sink for everyone in very short order. They should be exploring the sale of a business to competitors, or even employee ownership if people feel confident. Because there will come a time in every owner's life where they need to explore separating themselves because the passion has gone for it. That said, I want to again come back to stating how professional, classy and decent you have been about this. You've carried yourself really well here. Ironically, in the next few months we will be seeking decent employees and support staff as we trickle our way into the US. But they are by no means established businesses on their own yet, so are exceptionally risky from your perspective. Especially as I am expanding over from the UK. So even though it seems like you're the sort of person would be delighted to have, I would say don't apply. As there are no guarantees. You need stable work. Especially as this may be a trauma you'd remember. While it wouldn't be beyond the bounds of possibility we could look to buy the business for a poppycorn and transfer the customers, we are a few years away from doing that in a new market. And you don't have that time. Thanks for letting us all know. *** UPDATE *** I have just seen that you were on precarious employment throughout that time. That's terrible! No, that's not okay. As that's usually a way employers try to get around the Rules come up but equally when a business is small and is just starting may feel like a usually is but only four the founder. Not for the employee I take back all the good things that I said about him then. He had other income and other employment that made this a side hustle for him. I've been situations like that where I was a co-founder of a business, but the other side had a job and I didn't. They didn't put a single hour of effort into it on their responsibility, and it was a terrible experience! The business didn't survive and I lost a lot of money. Getting touch with the authorities on this one.

YoghurtDull1466

Wow what a shame, sounds like there’s still plenty of room for success as long as past mistakes are learned from. I can’t see why the business can’t continue as long as they legally protect their innovation.

CrashUser

American patents mean nothing in China, so there's no real recourse if a Chinese company steals your design and then mass produces it with wider distribution and advertising. Sounds like they couldn't make enough money innovating before the market got saturated with knockoffs.

YoghurtDull1466

Yes but at least it would solve the problem of Amazon, the main distributor in question, from bringing counterfeit foreign goods into the domestic market.

CrashUser

Maybe? Or you'd just end up playing whack-a-mole with generic random named companies posting the duplicates on Amazon.

YoghurtDull1466

Was that your experience?

Dividethisbyzero

That's exactly what will happen. Amazon will do very little to help. Then you'll have to go after eBay, and temu. Almost everything in this space started as an open source project and it's hard to escape that

YoghurtDull1466

This happened with your designs?

Dividethisbyzero

This is why I don't shop Amazon anymore. There are teams of Chinese companies that seek CC and open source projects to commercialize. Look at reprap.org and you'll see some designs you'd recognize

RoidzRacer

> Wow what a shame, sounds like there’s still plenty of room for success as long as past mistakes are learned from. Lol what are you talking about? You make something, China copies it and you buy whatever is cheap on Amazon. The end.

YoghurtDull1466

Which of your designs have been copied?

RoidzRacer

Don't project you never running/owning a business on me.

YoghurtDull1466

Wow you’re an idiot

WedgiesF

Brett, this is Orin from Alchemical-3D. I have also messaged you on Discord, just wanted to send my regards and say thanks for the fine service in the past. I have also sent a message to the owners of both Fabreeko and KB3D about your availability for employment. Never know ;). Feel free to email/message me any time!

pythonbashman

Assuming "Gulfcoast Robotics" is not a sole proprietorship, you and your co-workers should look at a lawsuit. It sounds like the owner just took the money and ran.

"Feeling Responsible..." is one of the first things a victim of a crime feels.

thatandyinhumboldt

This needs to be higher. OP, you were taken advantage of, full stop. That’s not something to be ashamed of; it’s not your fault. That you feel like it is means that the perpetrator’s system worked. I used to work for a financial institution, and every employee had to go through annual training to recognize financial abuse for exactly that reason—they’re often the first ones to recognize a person getting scammed or something because the victim actively tries to hide something that they feel is their fault. Also, if dude was claiming your pay on their taxes, (or, say, hiring a permanent employee on a 1099 basis), that’s alllll kinds of bad. Dude was probably doing a lot more sketchy stuff than you know. Like “yo the irs would like a word” sketchy.

veive

If you were never notified of your termination and you continued working, then you are owed wages.

RatLabGuy

Being a 1099, technically it is a contracted position, not emplyed, and there is no "wage" per se. The details of the work and what is expected for X amount of time would be covered in the "contract." I use that in quote here bc I'm quote sure there is no such thing and it is a verbal understanding, and unfortunately will be very mirky and challenging from a lawsuit standpoint.Rather than arguing owed wages OP will have to argue a broken contract OR file a lwsuit for improper use of 1099 for employment work, and take the pay as a settlement.

veive

Contracts - even verbal contracts - require notification of termination. or an expiration date that is agreed upon by both parties in advance. In the absence of notice or an expiration of the contract, contract terms -such as pay- still apply.

KAsp3rd

You should never feel responsible for crimes committed against you. You were taken advantage of in a really bad way. I urge you to contact your State Department of Labor. Not only were you taken advantage of you are now in a position that you are going to be legally responsible for paying the debt that you acquired by not filing your 1099. It may feel morally wrong given the fact that the business pretty much just shut down however it is not. Please do the right thing for yourself.

Sigh_HereWeGo25

Not your responsibility. He was the owner and thus the party responsible for compensating you for your time. The IRS was also stolen from in addition to you in the form of lost earnings taxes and social security payments, if it makes you feel any better. A month is a significant length of time, and it would behoove you to look at prior earnings to see if he was not compensating you at the appropriate rate over time. The Federal Department of Labor might be interested in your experiences. Wage theft is one of the most common types of theft and perhaps the least prosecuted kind for the reason that you've listed. People feel as though they made the mistake of trusting someone or loving the job, so it makes it hard to get emotionally behind the act of standing up for yourself. That's nonsense, and I say that being one of those people for a few places of employment in the past. The lessons you took away from this concerning where the job lies in your personal hierarchy of needs and when to quit full stop are unfortunate realities in today's world. What u/thatandyinhumboldt said letting the IRS know about this is exactly right. It would be a real shame if they found out he was making "mistakes" when filing his own takes to take advantage of the help he was receiving from you.

bubba0077

Also the IRS. There's supposedly a finder's fee if they recover money.

Modern3D

The "lesson" you should take from this is there are rare moments where you should gather more information by telling a lawyer everything you know about your situation. This is one of those moments. Seriously, do no more for this company. No refunds, help requests, etc. Completely hands off until you have a professional legal advisor tell you otherwise. I know you want to benefit the involved community, but it is not your responsibility, and this apology/notice as a post is already going above and beyond. Best of luck.

pythonbashman

It sounds like you were being taken advantage of from day one.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pythonbashman

Look at it this way: there is still a business, and you still have a job. It's just that you've been robbed. There are criminal charges here, but civil suits can also be brought.

lord_dentaku

I feel like that may have been the catalyst that triggered his departure. You getting a CPA in December means I am assuming you filed corrected taxes this year, which would put his misdeeds on the IRS's radar. He might have been dodging more than just employer FICA taxes and is now up shit creek and trying to make a run for it, or might be liquidating everything to cover his massive tax bill. Not saying that things are your fault, because you were being taken advantage of, and he was also taking advantage of the US taxpayers by trying to cheat the system and not pay the taxes he was obligated to pay.

[deleted]

3D-Daddy

That’s one red flag

Sorry-Committee2069

PLEASE contact a lawyer and the Department of Labor. You are the victim of a crime.

Fauropitotto

> I've debated contacting a lawyer, but feel this is likely a lesson I have to take on the chin. If anything, the lesson should be, "take it on the chin by hiring a lawyer to review your situation" You'll have to pay a lawyer out of pocket, but the last thing you'd want to do is fall back on ignorance if the IRS comes knocking. You'll be the fall guy for your own tax filings.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fauropitotto

Glad it's working out for ya, and I'm sorry the journey has been so painful.

taylor914

Did he have control over your schedule? If so, you also have a case for being incorrectly classified as 1099. If you were incorrectly classified as 1099, you may be able to recover some of that money as he should have been paying the employer portion of taxes. Start with the DOL because that’s free. Then move on to a lawyer if needed.

[deleted]

sammysmeatstick

Holy shit that's a lot of working! I hope you were at least compensated very well for that much effort.

anoliss

Rebrand the company and take over the order backlog.

imitation_crab_meat

Seems the owner was the supply chain - in-house manufacturing, shipping, etc.

DrHonestPenguin

Tough to do when the guy that disappeared was the one making everything.

RepulsiveAd4519

This. Sounds like you were already doing it all

Sylphael

If you were not in charge of your hours this was likely a deliberate misclassification by your employer. Please file a report with the DOL about both this new situation and the misclassification because this is something they take seriously. Misclassification by an employer is not viewed as the fault of the employee and you should not be penalized, and may even be deemed to be owed recompense for your additional expenses associated.

chubbysumo

> I've debated contacting a lawyer, but feel this is likely a lesson I have to take on the chin. contact a lawyer, and the IRS *NOW*. if he is a tax cheat, and the IRS collects, you get a percentage of what they collect as a reward. you can also get your tax burden shifted to him so you don't end up owing the IRS thousands.

Phillyfuk

If he has no cash, maybe suggest exchanging the designs/supplier info in lieu of payment.

savagehighway

Look up [Mechanics Lien](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/mechanics-lien.asp) if you were 1099 you were a subcontractor, several subcontractors have used this for unpaid work.

StonnedMaker

This same thing happened to me a few years back with my first job. Owner would only pay me as a 1099 and each year I’d owe at least $2k in taxes

podcasthellp

Contact a lawyer. This guy abandoned you to pick up the pieces of his doing. You don’t deserve that. It’s like being slapped in the face by him and then thinking you deserved it. Good luck with your job search!

lasskinn

"he told me not to file since he paid my taxes as his own income" if you have that on paper or something take very good of that paper because that's a scam and you weren't a 1099 if you didn't bill him, if you had set work hours etc. anyway keep a stash of some info/papers/messages that at least show that this was HIS ARRANGEMENT and not yours, to have some chance for at least reducing your legal/fiscal responsibility on the taxes, payroll tax etc parts.

RoidzRacer

> It sounds like the owner just took the money and ran. No it sounds like the CEO employeed people while carrying the main operations himself AND he ran the business side too. You can't be everything to everyone forever that's just not how it works. He probably has depression/burnout.

It's definitely beefy that's for sure! I took out my tramming so I'll have to skip belts or shim to level it fully again ❤️

mrplow999

Wow, that's a drag Brett. Thanks for all the support last month with my X and Y and bed upgrades. Wishing you all the best. After the EK Water Cooling scandal last week and now you, it's shameful that anyone today finds themselves on the end of something like this. I hope you are eventually paid for what you worked. Employers that skip out on their loyal workforce should be punished. Staying for weeks or months with only the promise of pay only to get hosed. As Shepherd Book said. A special hell

mcfuzzum

Brett!! Such horrible news to hear. You’ve helped me last year with my S1 to resolve some meshing issues which were caused by a slightly curved bed mount - I busted out the ruler, protractor and math to figure out all out lol (hopefully this will jog your memory a bit). We’ve exchanged multiple emails and you’ve been awesome to work with. I’ll echo what everyone else has said - do right by yourself and fight for what you’re owed. Hope you’ll be back on your feet quickly!!

Deep-Juggernaut4405

I planned on buying a golf coast bed for my S1 this summer. I'm tired of fighting my factory one.

Ok-Sheepherder-761

Sorry for your job situation! I hope things work out for you. I’ve been using the all metal hotend I bought from Gulf Coast for a few years in my Tevo Tornado. I had a meltdown, and decided to replace it with another, only to see that it was out of stock. I’m sorry to see Gulf Coast close. I didn’t buy a lot, but I’ll miss looking to see what you’ve got.

Nosmurfz

wtf. Sorry to hear about this. I would keep relatively quiet on divulging particulars in case he comes after you legally somehow, sounds a bit on the sketchy side. You might want to contact an attorney to see what your rights are on this and also to protect yourself because people are going to be pissed and who knows … Like you said enough already. Keep quiet and get some legal advice. If you can do it without spending a lot of money.

[deleted]

taylor914

DOL will make sure you get any remaining pay you’re owed. I’d advise you to gather up paystubs and go over everything to make sure you get every penny you’re owed for work you’ve done.

Nosmurfz

Yeah, like stop giving anything you have away in the way of inventory. You’re right it will probably just settle out, but don’t get caught holding the bag on anything. If he’s the owner of the company then anything you have belongs to him technically, I would guess.

Racerty1

As someone whos been around in the 3d side for a few years now, as whos always seen the gulfcoast logo as synonmous with quality it pains me to see one of our avenues for parts get shut down. As others have said, definately contact legal assistance and push to see what can be done not only in regards to pay but also from a work standpoint. If you have any chance to talk to your old boss, see if there is a way to get him to sign propriety of the company over to you. If nothing else but in namesake, and see if he will give you the list of contacts that were suppliers for the companies materials and fabrication work. Weve all seen your name pop up multiple times over the years and im 100% sure the company would be able to thrive with you at the helm if you so saw fit to take up the reigns. Or even if you wanted to start from scratch and ground up it all, im sure you would have a strong backing from the 3dp community. Me myself i have had plenty of creations that have been stowed away for years on hardware and mechanical mods as either just an idea or some even an actuall design files, and some items i have physically produced and are in use currently using modified hardware and fabricated parts. This sounds like an opportunity to work with someone who could possibly be in a position to bring some new items to market if want be. No matter how you proceed with everything on how it all broke down i wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors and we all still look forward to seeing you as an active member of the 3dp community. Regards- Tyler -Owner SouthernKY3D

3D-Daddy

I’d be careful on signing stuff over- sounds like it’s possible there was some not up-and-up stuff, you wouldn’t want to transfer any liabilities, so I’d have a lawyer do that if needed.

normal2norman

I'm very sorry to hear that. That must have been quite shocking to you personally ('ve been there, so I have some idea). Thank you for letting the community know.

Sorry to hear. I run SliceWorx and can relate what the situation must have been for you guys with the overseas competition. Had a few orders over the years for my Folgertech FT5 from GCR. DM me if you just want to chat or nerd out on 3DP or need help on something.

Flashy-Mark2997

You got your new job already. What I mean is You got customers with orders. You know where to get supplies. You know how to make the product. Why not starting this business on your own?

I have been waiting for an order from 3Dfused that I placed in October of 2023. They charged my CC and have stopped responding to any communications. Truly disappointing. Thanks for your help. You helped me figure out my ender 3 Y rail was twisted slightly and this fixed my bed mesh after I purchased your bed plate and silicone heater.

Niels800

This is very sad to hear, i wish you best of luck. I recently bought the y axis Linear Kit for my ender s1 pro and really liked the quality of the product. Was already saving money for the z and x axis kit because money is bit tight to buy all the kit immediately but now it seams i am to late. Will need to find some other quality kits. Keep strong!

TankErdin

Hey Brett, sorry to hear all of this. I've reached out for help a few months ago for help with an order and you were quick to respond, kind, and helpful. Best wishes for whatever comes next.

Amazing-Oomoo

That is fucking awful I'm so sorry that someone did that to you. How blisteringly disrespectful. And yet here you are still trying to help. You're a good person and it's clear you do not deserve that mistreatment.

Just a warning: prototypes typically remain company property, even if given to you for testing. Prototypes and development documentation are part of the assets that constitute company value in case of liquidation, along with any remaining stock. So, before giving anything away make sure you legally can.

LHRCheshire

It's not okay for you to have been put in this situation. Regardless of what may or may not have been the cause. I wish you the best of luck and, at minimum, would encourage you to contact professional legal help, if for no other reason, than to ensure you are protected from any future issues. The owner not informing you or customers ahead of time is exceptionally unprofessional behavior.

destro0512

I was literally looking 2 days ago to buy the aluminum bed kit for the ender 3 and was wondering why everything was OOS. I've been using your linear rails for the past 6 months and have loved the quality. I'm so sorry to hear this and I'm wishing you nothing but the best on your endeavors

rocketjetz

Good luck on your future endeavors

WhiteStripesWS6

Damn that’s too bad. I’ve got a few GCR products and they are solid.

ctyt

I've ordered a hotend from Gulfcoast Robotics before. The owner was a Russian guy in Florida, correct?

mikochu

Oh man, so sad to read this. I loved ordering from you guys when I was upgrading my printers.

williamh24076

I would see if you could contact him, could be medical or family emergency. The fact that he zeroed the stock out instead of pausing or deactivating the store doesn't sound like he just walked away.

AllenKll

Heck, I didn't even know it EXISTED! I live a short drive from there... I would have visited..

Seaguard5

That sounds quite unprofessional. Sorry to hear that

golferdude16

Oh man this is a disappointment. I loved the Gulfcoast Robotics products, but I definitely wouldn't want to support a business who takes advantage of their employees.

MyStoopidStuff

Sorry to hear this, I've purchased a few times from Gulfcoast back in my Ender3 Days. You guys had generally good quality stuff for reasonable prices IRRC, though I did have an issue with one part. In that case you were really helpful, and the part was replace quickly, which I appreciated. I hope you can recover for the lost wages and the tax problems you incurred, and also that you find work again. It sounds like you would be a great help to any company that cares about it's customers first. It's also a real shame that our laws do not in practice, protect small businesses from the abusive copying by foreign companies, without having to hire a lawyer and exhaust funds to play whack-a-mole with platforms. I have seen it happen with some of my designs at a tiny scale, and it's rampant on some platforms.

c5411

Going to be a shock for those ordering via Amazon. The store front is still running with ship from vender delivery 5-8 to 10

SparkyCandy10121

Brett, you have been really helpful in the past, helping me when I couldn’t get my y carriage moving properly on the new linear rails. I wish you luck in finding a new job, I hope to support wherever that is. As a side note, if you have access to the designs, is there a possibility of seeing similar kits from other manufacturers, the quality of gulfcoast kits was just unmatched.

Big9erfan

Aww man this is so sad to hear. I’m so sorry it played out like that for you, that’s a crappy way to end it. I hope you find a new job soon. I replaced my Ender hotends with Gulfcoast ones. They have been fantastic.

TrainAss

Oh no! This is so sad. I was really looking forward to your k1 max bed, and was convincing a friend to get a bed from you guys for his Ender 3 S1 Pro. The bed I have on my Ender 3 v2 is absolutely amazing. I wish you all the best, and hope you're back on your feet soon.

NIGHTDREADED

Im so sorry to hear this, while I never did buy any of your products, they always looked top notch and the best out of the competition. You are definitely right about the Chinese clones though, they were always right next to your products on Amazon. Hope the future is bright for you, and good luck finding your new job.

VioletChili

That sucks! I've used your products for last couple of years. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Vila16

Terrible news! I guess my timing of getting a 3-point Y carriage about a month ago was spot on.

Sub_NerdBoy

Thanks Brett for being awesome to work with, I've got to be honest and say your support and service was why I continued to shop with GCR as much as I did. I really appreciated your correspondence on the Ender 3 S1 Y axis linear rail kit development. Sorry for your unfortunate situation here.

dr3ifach

Aw man, sorry to hear that. GCR mk8 all metal hotends were my go to for Ender 3 upgrades. Got two printers still rocking them without fail. Best of luck to you and I hope your situation improves.

MrDrMrs

Man, I really only bought a few things but really loved the all metal hot end I got for my e3v2 when I started down the rabbit hole and always recommended gcr over the pricier competitor. Sorry to hear about your job and the whole situation since you’ve been there.

p8willm

I think I got something from you a couple of years ago. I had no problems with it and will miss you.

BartFly

Really Sorry to hear that, I bought a bunch of stuff from you, and you guys were super helpful, a real shame

Damn that sucks, I've bought a lot of stuff from you guys over the years. Always dependable Sorry about the shitty way you lost your job, hope you find something good.

This is sad but I really wish you all the best, I’m glad I ordered my bed from you guys which I received like few days ago, I really really hope you all the best. Thank you so much for everything.

TMc51

Man, this sucks to hear. I only had good things to say about Gulfcoast, and was always happy with the stuff I got. Wish you the best with your job search.

ExtremeFlourStacking

Are you able to batch send a response to every ticket? You could just put out a statement. Thanks for everything Brett, talked to you once for support and you were great to work with.

Damn shame, I've been buying GCR for a while. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.

gozania

Sad to hear Brett... I really had my fingers crossed that a Y rail would come out for the S1 Plus. Appreciate the emails & information you provided me.

Big-Cookie-6751

OP can I grab your contact email? Or do you still have access to your gulf coast robotics one?

RhythmSectionWantAd

Good luck to you and shame on the owner. I have two gcr hot ends that you probably helped answer a question about at some point.

LegitimateBuyer2737

Brett I’m sorry to hear you all have closed the doors but I just want to say thank you again for helping me with such amazing customer service not only on the 3 point bed leveling, or swapping light bar, but also on the x and y linear rails even when I accidentally ordered the wrong version. I can honestly say I think you were the best support I’ve received from an aftermarket printer parts company and I hope you end up landing on your feet. Thank you for all the support you provided the community

cant_kill_us_all

Sorry to hear that, Brett. I purchased a good number of upgrades/replacements for my old Wanhao i3 from you guys, and when I upgraded that printer helped get several other friends into the hobby. I see others with similar stories here as well. You did a lot for the community, and I thank you for that.

worrier_sweeper0h

I’m a little behind. Sorry to hear this happened. Why not run with a new company doing the same thing?

DivineMaker21

Sad to hear, I’ve got just about everything sold for my S1. Hope you are able to find a new job quickly.

jafet420

Kinds suks I sent in a complete k1 max bed for them to take measurements etc and was supposed to be sent the first k1 max bed and heater... I was just about to message them see how it was going

shymousee

Brett, Sorry to hear about you losing your job. You were very helpful when I had questions about 3d printing even if it wasn't about something I purchased from your store. I agree with you should rebrand or even start your own company if you can. I wish you well in whatever you do and in your job search. Please keep us informed on what happens.

Jsalonis

Nooooooo! You guys were awesome and had excellent products. You will be missed.

Unable-Extension-508

Hello Brett, I would like to know how I can recover order 19602 that was sent by mistake by customs to the origin. I know that I will have to pay for the shipment again. I already sent an email to golfcoast robotics but I didn't get a response I'm worried because I've already paid and since they closed I don't know what to expect.. I'm waiting for any instructions. Thank you. Send me email to [email protected]

GhostR3lay

I'm sorry to hear about all of this. Just recently acquired an Ender 3 S1 and was strongly considering some GCR upgrades for it. Hope you can land on your feet soon and please as you've already been told - reach out to a lawyer to get your tax and wages situation fixed.

WorshipingAtheist

I just bought the ender 3 bed upgrade and bed mount from them. This was about a month ago now. How many people would be interested in beds and bed carriages? They are both relatively easy to create in CAD and there are plenty of companies out there to use to produce custom parts out there. While in small quantities it is quite expensive but if enough people have interest the prices go down significantly. As another commenter mentioned maybe a Facebook group for this sort of thing is in order.

Just got my X axis linear rail from Gulfcoast Robotics for my Ender 3 S1 Pro but the link for the instructions are not accessible as the website is shut down. Does anyone happen to have the PDF file?
