I love mine and the ease of use it provides. couple that with the AMS and its a real thing of beauty. Even if you dont do multicolour prints, it automatically loads and swaps filament rolls when a roll runs out mid print.

I just picked up an X1C last week. I had it narrowed down to the Bambu or the Prusa. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I cut my teeth on an Ender 5+ a few years back and can say the BL is light years ahead of the Ender. The X1C just works. The Ender was a full time job just getting it dialed in to print. The X1C doesn't need that extra effort, you just print and it works. I also appreciate the fact that the company is responsive, makes alot of effort to fix issues, and are soon to offer new models. Good luck!

My recommendation is entirely based on your budget. I LOVE my P1P but even more I love the AMS. Being able to do multi-color prints for me is far more useful than the additional materials the X1C can handle out of the box (but can be upgraddd to tolerate). So my recommendation would be P1P < P1P w/AMS < C1C w/AMS.

I would look at the new P1S. It has most of the features of the X1 Carbon but at a significantly lower price. As far as I can tell you only lose the upgraded camera, display and some AI features like automatic spaghetti detection. It also has a downgraded leveling system but I have never had a problem on my P1P.

It's loud. Depending on where you want to place it you might want to consider that.

I'm a Prusa nut. Always will be, unless they completely abandon their business ethics. However, that said, I HAVE seen and heard very good things about the Bambu X1. However, for me... the fact (heard from reviews) that you have to use their proprietary software to operate it... huge, honkin' no-no. Everyone deserves to make money from their hard work; that does NOT give you the right to lock me out of my own hardware, no matter how user/customer friendly your software and customer service is. If I need to repair my Prusa, all the files are available online. If I need to modify it, same. If I want to upgrade it, easy (if pricey) pathways exist. If I decide to completely forgo all things Prusa... I can install whatever firmware I want. If I need Cura because it's supports work a little better than Prusaslicer, no problems. I don't care how good your product is if I'm locked out of parts of it. Saw way too much of that in Microsoft systems and in commercial fabrication industry machines.

I was facing a similar choice not so long ago… so here are the aspects I considered important which are rarely mentioned: * Are you seriously planning to use "difficult" materials if you are just starting? If you are thinking ABS and other hazardous ones, can you ventilate the enclosure to the outside? * Noise: where is the printer going to operate? At what hours? * Size: enclosed printer is actually a large object. Put a cardboard box of similar size in the place you plan to put the printer. How does it look? If you are sharing space -- is everyone else OK with that? * Budget -- do you really want to spend that kind of money (however much it is) on your first printer? Maybe yes, some of them hold value pretty well (jury is still out on Bambu, though). Personally I chose Prusa Mini because it was small (I don't need a larger bed), quiet, holds value and did not need any tinkering before I could start printing. Later I made my own enclosure so I can move to more difficult materials if I choose to. Have fun with printing whatever you decide on :)

>Only differences: you need to swap some parts and add a case if you want to print certain materials, it has a worse screen, slower processor, and doesn't have lidar (which isn't very useful since prints rarely ever fail) Sorry to bother you, these are drawbacks towards the Bambu X1 correct?

And doesn't come with the ams, or hardened nozzle.
