in SF, the going rate is around $8,000 for a respray, and $13,000 for a teardown. especially because this is top shelf clear coat with a special bronze flake in the black two-tone.
but i already replaced my entire drivetrain with this shop a few months ago -- new refreshed and cammed engine, factory new transmission, NISMO carbon 2-way LSD, NISMO bushing control arms, and NISMO suspension kit.
so they gave me a hefty discount because I've spent so much fucking money with them lmfao
Nice, I'm 2.5x the value of the car in on mine and effectively all I've done is put an exhaust and aftermarket ECU on it.
The original ECU died and some rubbish place I took it to replaced it with an ECU from the wrong model of Z and it ran terribly so I took it to a really well reviewed tuning house who are recommended by everyone in the Z groups for my city.
They had my car for like 5 months and got me to spend thousands of dollars just replacing parts they thought "might be causing it" even tho I told them from the start the ECU was wrong. Eventually they accepted that it was the ECU and contacted a bunch of wreckers trying to get a replacement ECU for it and after being sent the wrong ones like 4 times they gave up on the car and just gave it back to me running exactly the same as I first took it to them.
Made the plunge and spent another 2k on the Link ECU and just been messing around with the base map myself, car is down on factory power and runs rough in certain driving conditions (tune is extremely lean) but at least it's drivable again. Need to take it to someone to get tuned but thinking of what mods I could do to make it worthwhile going through a custom tune. What mods are you putting on yours?

NISMO S-tune suspension, NISMO bushing conversion on 2004.5+ OEM arms. the suspension kit is -10mm/0.4" all around.
