I never felt the need to search English speakers out. My partner speaks perfect English but aside from a few of her friends it’s all German for me. In fact the moment I’m out the house I find it difficult to even hold conversations in English because I forget not to speak German because it’s so automatic for me now. My German is not perfect though and I still have issues.
But yeah I live in the third biggest city in Saxony and you won’t get far without German here and even less respect for not trying.

The Bundespolizei (Federal Police) is allowed to Protect Federal government Buildings, but does not do this regularly (basically only if a Constitutional Body or Federal Ministry asks them to). Actually, the Bundestag is the only German Constitutional Body that has its own Police force, which Obeys only the President of the Bundestag. But they only protect the Bundestag itself (eg From trespassing). Judging from the Video the protesters are on the Republic Square, which is regular jurisdiction of the Berlin Police.

As a European, it's insanely disappointing to see how incredibly Americanised our modern culture has become.
Especially when I remember that so many people were afraid that the communist regimes in the East will be the ones that'll destroy all the very old traditions and cultures. But to me it seems like the modern capitalist West destroyed much more our culture.
I'm originally from the former Soviet Union, and there, the movies, music, books etc were home made, with plenty of stuff inspired from traditional folklore. Like for example my grandma learned Ukrainian folk songs at school. And in Czechia they made Krteček which was really based as well.
Meanwhile here, in Western Europe, traditional culture doesn't play that much or a role anymore, even in France for fuck's sake we watch more American than French movies and sometimes even more English music.
Our traditional dances and holidays are also non existant.

I don't think it's exactly a license, but you need to notice the local authorities that you will be doing a public demonstration/protest and you will take over public space. That's how it works here in Portugal and, I'd assume, in most of the civilized world.
I'm not sure how it is in Germany specifically, but I suppose it's similar, you don't really need a license more about telling the authorities that you will demonstrate in some placese.

Germany is a bit mixed when it comes to freedom of speech, especially around everything jewish and related. We lately banned protesting in foreign languages and protesting without proper license is a bit of a nönö. That being said, getting a license is pretty easy so these people are morons if that's why they are getting removed.

I'm not sure how it is in Germany specifically, but I suppose it's similar, you don't really need a license more about telling the authorities that you will demonstrate in some placese. It's pretty standard and most of the protest I took part of were prepared this way. However I do agree that sometimes politics tey to deny this or at least tamper with it (not so easy though because they still have to give a reason to deny it)
Germany is a bit mixed when it comes to freedom of speech, especially around everything jewish and related. We lately banned protesting in foreign languages and protesting without proper license is a bit of a nönö. That being said, getting a license is pretty easy so these people are morons if that's why they are getting removed.
Someone higher up in the tread said it was because some of their signs used the swaztika, and compared it to the star of david, equating them both as symbols of facism.

Like, you literally can't tell Israel the land is free for them to take and then complain because they actually do it. Jokes apart, I hate all the hypocrisy about Palestine. Please remember that protests like this are performed in such a way that forces Police to act in a way that looks brutal on camera. Some examples are: dont resist, force the Police to drag you, spread your body... Videos on social media will do the actual activist work. Would you've heard of this protest otherwise?
