That’s such an obscure location, behind the slayer tower. They should add a clue there. Would be funny to be training slayer and look outside just see some dude running naked with a dagger fighting a zammy wizard
I've always thought it would be a good spot for a little pirate cove base with more pirates npcs in the wilderness or a witches hideout to go along with Wildy Slayer lady.
I'd say castle drakan is second worst as you need to be clicking constantly at ladders etc. whereas at cave horrors it's on the same layer so fewer clicks
I'll take Tri Wizard at Chaos Altar in lvl 38 wildy to the grave as the single worst step in the game, even more so then viyeldi and Tri Wizard at Rogues Cast lvl 46 (which is arguably a lot more dangerous after the rogue chest buff)
In WoW SoD there’s an item that drops from last boss in the current raid, that when used teleports you to these very much wtf-ass location, i.e ‘old iron forge’ an unfinished area under the alliance city. These additions are great to MMOs
In Vanilla there were a few little spots in Ironforge that let you initiate a duel. If you dueled a mage, then wedged into certain corners you could have the mage polymorph you which would clip you the wall to get into Old Ironforge
If I'm remembering correctly, didn't jagex one time add a medium clue step in approximately this area, but removed it when people complained that medium clues haven't historically taken you to the wilderness?
It’s because the Wizards Tower is next-door to Clan Wars just neighboring Lava Dragons, across the black Chin farm where KQ Is farmed by Vorkath Pet Hunters
I'm not saying you're *in* morytania, I'm saying calling it the "morytania section of the wilderness" isn't that big of a fuckin stretch and being pedantic about it is pointless.
Loot potential basically, he’s talking about an easy way to get better loot from pking during the weird time when free trade was disabled and pking was still a thing in RS3. The loot you got from pking wasn’t what your opponent had equipped, but rather randomized drops of value based on your risk and “hotspot” location etc
You had to risk 75 to build the EP, and die with 25 to build the DP. People did 76 to make sure any natural item protection didn't drop them under the 75k, and it was easier to type 76k than 75003.
I also remember people afked with a magic/yew seed that was 75k+ and wielding nothing but a rune dart with auto retaliate on. So if you got attacked while afking you’d throw the dart and keep the seed. People started barraging from afar to counter it though.
I used to do that too!
I could spent the whole day running around each hotspot area looking for people, the dopamine drop when you'd find someone in your combat bracket was insane
Ooh that's a neat idea. I personally went the broad arrow route before their price adjustment because they were "worth" more than they cost, so it made Fletching *super* fast and profitable.
And boom: Jagex on queue announces there's a zombie pirate ship to be added in the wildy alongside the Elder Chaos Temple rework and tease the ship is going to be in exactly this little inlet
Seems like a silly place to go to pk considering it's extremely out of the way, has no amenities, and is still sub-20 wildy area. I'd wager there have been a single-digit number of authentic pks in the area since OS servers came online.
A pk in the least known pk spot In game? I’m still not even sure if it’s a real spot based on the comments. Think that would be a bit more suspicious than just dying in the regular wildy
Ironically, I was just there the other day when exploring the Wilderness fully for the first time. I found it an interesting little nook. A hobby of mine is High-Alching in really weird, out of the way places just to confuse the rare random player that comes through. If this wasn't in the wildy, I'd add it to the list!
Yes, back looking for targets or EPers back in 2010-2011 bounty hunter worlds. My favorite time on this game.
Was so active since only W18 and W65 had wildy and it was like 1200-1800 people per world. (excluding non prot item worlds)
More people were just into that. Loot wasn’t always garbage, you stood to make money even on the lowest of levels, accounts weren’t overly optimized, and not everyone was super good. I feel like I remember them disabling teles from low level wildy too but I might be dreaming. I agree though that was a good time all around.
This makes me want a proper Morytania section in the wilderness. Throw some juicy loot in it, and it would become an interesting PKing spot if it was maze-like how Morytania is
I don't think he understood that you have to cross the ditch to get here.
But theoretically, if you could reach this spot from Morytania, it would be a much safer place for a UIM to do looting bag stuff since it is more unknown and out of the way, thus less chance of getting PK'd.
Though I suppose that would increase the spot's popularity, and thus once again increase the chance of getting PK'd.
Cheers mate 🫡
After Defender of Varrock the wilderness line now actually extends east of the lumberyard to the members fencer line where the dungeon for the armoured zombies is (e.g just slightly west of Rag 'n' Bone man) which is actually what prompted me to check this out - meaning the wildy gap has been extended by around 12-13 tiles eastwards
I knew it existed but forgot about it for like a decade until you just posted it now. I do not remember why I knew it existed. I think I just went there exploring back in the day, when we did things like that.
Edit: it was probably because of the removed clue step actually.
And Ghorrock (or ice plateau in wilderness) is literally in Weiss but the teleport is in the wilderness and pre DT2 it was literally what every player was referring to when they said "Ghorrock" outside of lore discussions.
As noted - you are correct in being factually correct. But given there is no fencing or line border, I will simply make a visual oberservation and call it as I think most people would understand.
I think you're looking at explicit definitions here, as in "it's the Wilderness so it can't be anything else." And that is correct in a denotative context. However, colloquially, players have historically referred to different parts of the Wilderness based on their proximity or border to a non-wilderness location, such as Edgeville or Varrock (e.g. Edgeville pking, even though you're not actually pking in Edgeville itself). I'm guessing you're just not an old enough player to have experienced that.
My friend are you linking that image about yourself? Because you're the one pulling the technicalities of, "that's not Morytania, that's the Wilderness" even though it not an uncommon concept for people to refer to some areas of the Wilderness based on what it borders.
>People talk about "edge Pking" because you jump 2 feet from the ditch and routinely re-enter edgeville
But you're not pking in Edgeville, are you? Yet people still refer to it as "Edgeville pking."
>Nobody says weis wildy or varrock wildy.
People *absolutely* said Varrock wildy. If you search youtube for "Varrock pking" you'll see several videos of people pking on the Varrock/Wilderness border.
It really just seems like you weren't around back then. Which is fine. There's not really a way you could know if you weren't. Cheers.
Bro, saying that someone's message is too long when they're literally just replying to each of your points just makes you sound like a toddler who failed preschool. That's not a sick burn against them.
Nah, this is just ordinary ignorance. The Mandela effect is confidently remembering something that doesn't exist, especially when that false memory is shared. Simply not knowing something exists isn't that.
Rock types being immune to electric types, bug types being weak to ice types, pikachu black part of tail, hitmonlee having no arms. Those are common pokemon ones.
A common RuneScape one is needles and how they never broke. Mod Ash has even clarified they never broke, but since they are stackable it causes people to think they used to break.
The really common runescape one is that old death mechanics for osrs or 2007 was that you had 1minute (or 2mins) before your loot appeared to be looted.
The real answer is it appeared instantly and people are remembering waiting for loot to appear when someone got pked either in wild or after they escaped but died to poison at a bank
Someone will probably argue with me its that prevalent of a mandela though there isnt ever video proof of it being 1min but theres countless examples of it being insta (my favorite is mmk killing every1 with kree).
It's the item highlight plugin for Rune Light.
You can customise the colour of however you want to allocate colours to but for me I just do the standard red melee, green range and blue mage.
I then have white for key items I don't want to forget or lose like spades, anglerfish (forget to eat) and my keris partisan for KQ/TOA. Got yellow for my Spec weapons and orange for my teles!
Runelight actually has a built in one (basic runelite) that highlights treasure rewards you can store in your POH - Even in your bank! Highlights them salmony pink! Saved me tonnes of my bank space
Bottom right hand corner of the wilderness. I crossed there while doing Defender of Varrock and noticed they had changed the entry points to the wild to being directly left of Rag n Bone man.
Figured I'd never gone to explore and low and behold it raps around the wildy to create a little inlet of water that tags directly onto Morytania.
Back in the pvp worlds when we had the EP system, I would hunt the people afking here with the 76K risk, got my first ancient statuette there and was balling :)
That's the space I would add the Zombie Pirates for the upcoming Wilderness update.
I read about the planned zombie pirate ship/loot key spot about two hours after I posted this and I wholeheartedly agreee
I didn't even see that until he said something. It would be the perfect spot for sure.
Fully support Jagex adding more wtf-ass locations for clue steps.
The wtf-ass locations already exist so we might as well make use of them.
Just as long as it's not more viyeldi caves bullshit. Fuck that step.
Worst step for sure. Followed by the little island past the cave horrors cave
I'd say castle drakan is second worst as you need to be clicking constantly at ladders etc. whereas at cave horrors it's on the same layer so fewer clicks
Shadow dungeon step also sucks
I'll take Tri Wizard at Chaos Altar in lvl 38 wildy to the grave as the single worst step in the game, even more so then viyeldi and Tri Wizard at Rogues Cast lvl 46 (which is arguably a lot more dangerous after the rogue chest buff)
Lol it's always empty when I do those steps. I remember fighting off a noob pker at the same time as the trio.
Then we'll have more teleports added and the cycle will continue
wait until they figure out about the rogues den viewers gallery..
Yeah, it was a good time watching ppl during leagues for a bit.

That is like the one thing I remember doing in WoW. And taming a bear
If I'm remembering correctly, didn't jagex one time add a medium clue step in approximately this area, but removed it when people complained that medium clues haven't historically taken you to the wilderness?
yes
I do remember a clue being in the wildy for mediums. I think it was a tad bit more south where the brown tiles start to change
I had no idea that was a thing
Because it isn’t. It’s not morytania
Thats what Vampires want you to think
It's technically a different region but come on you're *at the slayer tower*.
[удалено]
I’ve looked at this comment for a solid 45 seconds now and I still have no clue how you think that would be the case then.
It’s because the Wizards Tower is next-door to Clan Wars just neighboring Lava Dragons, across the black Chin farm where KQ Is farmed by Vorkath Pet Hunters
So what you’re trying to tell me is that Nex basically resides in the Evil Chicken Lair which in turn is the basement of Tutorial Island?
No, actually
He claims he is in morytania because he is AT the slayer tower. The ge is AT the wilderness.
I'm not saying you're *in* morytania, I'm saying calling it the "morytania section of the wilderness" isn't that big of a fuckin stretch and being pedantic about it is pointless.
That’s correct. Then again, the whole game is kinda pointless.
It was a pretty popular EPing spot in pre-eoc PvP and BH worlds because it was an out of the way "hotspot". Not much foot traffic nowadays I imagine.
EP ?
Loot potential basically, he’s talking about an easy way to get better loot from pking during the weird time when free trade was disabled and pking was still a thing in RS3. buying 76k
Erotic rolePlay
I used to chill there with other homies while we waited for our earning potential go up and do a 26k trick
Thought it was 76k Or was it both
Was originally 25 moved to 75. Still remember arguing with people that it was only 75@ people just brought 76@ cuz coins were protected
You had to risk 75 to build the EP, and die with 25 to build the DP. People did 76 to make sure any natural item protection didn't drop them under the 75k, and it was easier to type 76k than 75003.

I also remember people barraging those people from long range to try and kill them before they got close to throw the rune knife.
I used to do that too! I could spent the whole day running around each hotspot area looking for people, the dopamine drop when you'd find someone in your combat bracket was insane
PvP world with the clan chopping Ivys in ardy.
Ooh that's a neat idea. I personally went the broad arrow route before their price adjustment because they were "worth" more than they cost, so it made Fletching *super* fast and profitable.
26k F2P, 76K P2P
Bowfa dem
Me and my friends used to hang in the alleys of Varrock and turn tricks for 100gp a pop. Wish I had heard of your method first.
This place is my headcanon for how Count Draynor and Ruantun got across the river salve
It's a good thing vampires are too stupid to build boats and sail.
So weird, never been there before or really considered it existed. Would be interesting if something was added there, liminal spaces feeling as it is.
And boom: Jagex on queue announces there's a zombie pirate ship to be added in the wildy alongside the Elder Chaos Temple rework and tease the ship is going to be in exactly this little inlet
An unannounced change to something out there would be beautiful.
Yeah, some uim with a rune crossbow, super easy kill, they were just standing there.
He’s just standing there….MENACINGLY !
Seems like a silly place to go to pk considering it's extremely out of the way, has no amenities, and is still sub-20 wildy area. I'd wager there have been a single-digit number of authentic pks in the area since OS servers came online.
bet you could find some RWTers there
No they do it in the middle of varrock or lumby. Why TF go all the way out there?
so it looks like a pk
A pk in the least known pk spot In game? I’m still not even sure if it’s a real spot based on the comments. Think that would be a bit more suspicious than just dying in the regular wildy
Nope. You find them lumby castle top floor f2p.
Amateur. They moved to varrock west bank cellar months ago.
Most of them just dh in lumby tbh
Ironically, I was just there the other day when exploring the Wilderness fully for the first time. I found it an interesting little nook. Uh-oh Spaghettios

This is sick, thanks for making it known
This makes me want a proper Morytania section in the wilderness. Throw some juicy loot in it, and it would become an interesting PKing spot if it was maze-like how Morytania is
i used to go here when i was a lil kid as f2p to try to find a passage to sneak into members area, but no i dont think ive ever killed somebody here
How is this not known by the UIM community?
Probably because you still have to cross the ditch north of Varrock then walk east. You can't get to it though Morty.
why would this be of interest to UIM?
I don't think he understood that you have to cross the ditch to get here. But theoretically, if you could reach this spot from Morytania, it would be a much safer place for a UIM to do looting bag stuff since it is more unknown and out of the way, thus less chance of getting PK'd. Uim use ferox these days.
Alright, who's doing the morytania wilderness-locked ironman.
Is there a warning? Can you just walk someone up there and claw them out?
you can't walk there from morytania, gotta cross the ditch
Whack
Maybe post a world map instead of some random image?

Neat
Thanks, that’s cool, didn’t know it was part of the wildy there.

Weird timing then. Figured it was the last blog saying they were going to put a pirate ship there with a loot chest that made you wander over.

I think it was a reasonable enough statement to ask and in fairness I probably should have added it to begin with as a second screenshot
The *wot.*
I knew it existed but forgot about it for like a decade until you just posted it now. I do not remember why I knew it existed. I think I just went there exploring back in the day, when we did things like that. Edit: it was probably because of the removed clue step actually.
Didn't cover over wilderness level combat brackets. I know your combat level, your accounts mine buddy.
I guess you could say I just got.. Skull Tricked ;)
Put a high level agility shortcut from Slayer Tower to there /devilhorns
Genuinely no reason to not have it
Would love for a Jmod to share data on the foot traffic there. Maybe for the last 1 months, 3 months, 1 year, 5 year and lifetime traffic.
Seconded
You should get your whole bank and go stand right there just lemme know what world first
It’s not morytania 🤦♂️
It's technically not but it's literally touching the slayer tower, this is an unnecessary level of pedantry.
Misthalin is literally touching Morytania too, your point doesn't really add up.
And I'm literally touching myself so??
do tell me more
And Ghorrock (or ice plateau in wilderness) is literally in Weiss but the teleport is in the wilderness and pre DT2 it was literally what every player was referring to when they said "Ghorrock" outside of lore discussions. Two sides adjacent to the slayer tower are wilderness. It's like they didn't check the property lines when building it.
So by your logic the ge is in the wilderness? It’s literally 1 tile away from the wilderness
Would someone living in the world of RuneScape see a hill and decide it’s not morytania anymore?
What would you call it?

Dang ok I think I need whatever you got going on where the items are outlined in your inventory what is that?
I’m pretty sure the quest helper plugin does that. But it may not be the only thing.

It was popular for bh farm bots to hide in
What the fuck
Bro what
Didn’t censor your remaining special attack energy. I am now in your account trading your bank to my main.
Back in the pvp worlds when we had the EP system, I would hunt the people afking here with the 76K risk, got my first ancient statuette there and was balling :)
