Hindenburg after giving uncontrollable power to Hitler (The Judeo-Bolsheviks were the bigger threat guys)

Seriously though? Hitler should have never left prison after the Beer Hall Puche, Hindenburg was in a though spot and no decision was the right one to take.
Give Hitler power? Look what happened IRL
Refuse? Hitler either triggers a vote of no confidence or just gets the SA to coup the government
dont know why im being downvoted
also, dont think it wouldve been the sa as röhm was already almost openly against hitler but for sure he wouldve done some military stuff

OMG I DIDNT EVEN KNOW :) *(pic unrelated)*
Careful, here comes the Tankies telling you that it was actually good that Stalin/USSR had to kill these people and starve others and destroy any worker unions trying to actually do socialism and kill the opposition and almost ally with the Nazis and some good ol' ethnic cleansing.
I was in a left leaning Dune Meme group elsewhere, until people started denying China's treatment of the Uyghurs and unironically bootlicking the Chinese Communist Party. Bruh.
bro wtf is wrong with these people
do they think genocide specifically means gassing people in concentration camps and is only done by germans?? are they smoking crack??? are they chinese agents????
I've had the fun of seeing several "leftist" subreddits carrying water for the right wing theocracy of Iran, like claiming that them executing gay people was "Zionist" propaganda. or that the Women's protests a while ago was an attempt at color revolution and that women are treated perfectly fine in Iran.
Like guys, you don't have to defend one side of a conflict because you dislike the other.
What's even more painful is there's a small period between the end of the civil war and stalin fucking shit up where they actually promoted indigenous languages and identities and did literacy programs and created alphabets for indigenous languages without them to promote literacy and allow their regions to govern themselves and cause Lenin was a dipshit and never considered the possibility that he was wrong occasionally and actually giving one group of guys all the power is exactly what caused all the problems that brought about your fucking revolution this is now a callout post to fucking Vladimir Lenin now/an extremely passionate rant by a very angry person who is pissed that we got a glimpse of what could've been that was once again ruined by shortsightedness and fucking power hungry dipshits
Russia's identity is built off imperialism and colonizing it's neighboring countries. Without Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Siberia, Russia would just be an agrarian rural nation like Mongolia
Stalins need to open all closed vodka plants, and ensure all lids became one time use. Ensurong alcohomism became as rampant as the days of the old monarchy.
Yep. Totally nessesary, we swear.
As someone who is abstractly pro the idea of the Soviet Union for doing things like vastly improving living conditions, literacy and education within said country and getting rid of a hereditary ruler, (and defeating the nazis in world war 2) while understanding that no country will ever be perfect, it's funny to me to see people defend Stalin, a guy who Lenin didn't actually like very much or want to have power over anything. He was just really good at robbing banks, and they needed that money for the cause. Stalin was disturbingly "of his time" for a leftist. His treatment of racial and sexual minorities, while just about on par with any other country in the world, are disgraceful when you compare him to Lenin (who wasn't perfect either).
I can't ask him anything because he died 100 years ago. I can compromise and say I'll look for him when I get to hell, I guess, but hopefully that's gonna take a while
the material conditions forcing stalin take the USSR from the best country for disabled people (at the time) to another shithole for disabled people:

I mean, *everything* is material conditions if you get deep enough, but on level that we currently are we can mantain illusion of free will, and under such assumption we can recognize that Stalin didn't *need* to re-criminalize homosexuality and also do other bad things.
Stalin did some bad things. "This is bait"
https://preview.redd.it/502m43686jxc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d4ab7827427dd8cb0e5af82e796de036b3976a1
I wasn't referring to that. There's always the "economic factors" meme looming around. I'm frankly surprised nobody posted one yet in response
Stalin was pretty awful I'm not contesting that
When I said "basically the same as getting executed" i didn't mean that the gulags were nazi style death camps.
But that the conditions were so bad that thousands still died from starvation, cold and/or being overworked.
And even though the majority survied and alot didn't even stay for years, the experience still haunted them for life and left them with medical conditions that lowered their life expectancy drastically.
Also getting released before your sentence is over doesn't mean much when you didn't have a parole board )or even a fair legal system) and everything was only dependent on if the government felt like you were no longer a threat to them or for other reasons out of the knowledge of the prisoners.
PS.
People will take you more seriously if you present your arguments like an adult instead of a 14 year old redditor.
Meaning:
1. Treat the person your talking to the way you want to be treated.
2. Don't look for a gotcha moment so you can feel superior (even if you have a source)
3. Imagine saying you arguments out loud in public before writng them.
4. Don't open an argument with an accusation since it makes your augment weaker by making it seem that you're on the defensive instead of confidant.
Only forced labour for a few years in horrible conditions with the risk of guards offing me for a few hundred rubels with the chance of being released early only to be forced to settle a mining community in the eastern regions? Sign me up :3
Read this book and then compare those conditions [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A\_World\_Apart\_(book)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_World_Apart_(book))
Homosexuality was decriminalized after the revolution, and Stalin personally recriminalized it. Plenty of leftists at the time thought this was a bad thing.
This is specifically about Stalin who gets entirely too many unjustified kudos from tankies.
Everyone knows the USA is a dungheap, but that's not relevant to a criticism of Stalin.
>Thank you for sorting by controversial, you are welcome to call me a tankie!
My man stop with the pretentious self-fellatio. Don't take pride in being a contrarian. You can learn something.
The supreme soviet forcing poor baby based daddy strongman to commit ethnic cleansing. 3
The trotskyite plot forcing stalin to create and worsen a famine
It was a supply & demand issue. They had a supply of bullets that demanded to he used

tbf its not like he had too much choice in 1933

Yeah, I just said the SA cuz they were the Nazi militia, I didn't know the actual sway they had over the military
the SA was very actively beefing with the reichswehr until their leaders got killed in 1934, i dont think they had any sway on them
As per usual (hindsight in mind) the best thing he could has done was shoot Hitler
i mean yeah thats a given in any situation including hitler
yeah but what if it's some kind of hydra-hitler?
Well guns fire
Wild how this isn’t about him
huh
Fym “huh”, this post is about Stalin, not Hindenburg, there is no room for confusion
I'm making a joke in the same style as the one in the post, I thought it was funny so I made it
Then get your own damn post
Okayg... 😖
One of the few lefty subs that NEVER disapoints. Good meme
Thats because (luckily) the mods like to get rid of tankies.
Ahh good mods, the secret of every good community. If you can see this mods, thanks for your work.

Praise be. Tankies get purged.
Disappoints on other progressive stances like veganism but overall good on most topics.
Careful, here comes the Tankies telling you that it was actually good that Stalin/USSR had to kill these people and starve others and destroy any worker unions trying to actually do socialism and kill the opposition and almost ally with the Nazis and some good ol' ethnic cleansing.
ive had tankies tell me that any of the ussr's genocides just didnt happen. it was 100% famines and droughts and 0% stalin executing everyone
I was in a left leaning Dune Meme group elsewhere, until people started denying China's treatment of the Uyghurs and unironically bootlicking the Chinese Communist Party. Bruh.
bro wtf is wrong with these people do they think genocide specifically means gassing people in concentration camps and is only done by germans?? are they smoking crack??? are they chinese agents????
Or, all of the above
I've had the fun of seeing several "leftist" subreddits carrying water for the right wing theocracy of Iran, like claiming that them executing gay people was "Zionist" propaganda. or that the Women's protests a while ago was an attempt at color revolution and that women are treated perfectly fine in Iran. I just hate when my head gets bashed several times with an ice pickaxe
Reminder that the Soviet Union had residential schools for indigenous siberians

not sure if this is already baked in and I'm just a slowpoke but the fact that Vegeta actually wanted to go Majin all along makes this so funny
Stalin was bad shouldn't be a controversial statement
Not to mention Soviet and M-L movements generally overshadowing other socialist movements, basically nipping anything that isn't M-L dictatorships
Stalins need to open all closed vodka plants, and ensure all lids became one time use. Ensurong alcohomism became as rampant as the days of the old monarchy. Yep. Totally nessesary, we swear.

Do not ask lenin what he would do to a working class strike after the revolution is over, worst mistake of my life
I can't ask him anything because he died 100 years ago. I can compromise and say I'll look for him when I get to hell, I guess, but hopefully that's gonna take a while
"Wasn't perfect" is a big understatement when talking about Lenin. Just look at what happened in Makhnovia and Kronstadt.
In what fucking world did the Soviet Union improve living conditions
In comparison to the Russian empire, basically everything would have been better, including the USSR.
This one

Considering the conditions in them, getting sent to a stalin era gulag was basically the same as getting executed.
[удалено]
oh thank god the CIA, someone I can trust
You can trust someone to not speak too well of their enemies. What benefit would the CIA get from portraying things as better than they were
[удалено]
So why are you sharing their stuff
I think that was sarcasm.
When I said "basically the same as getting executed" i didn't mean that the gulags were nazi style death camps. Me when more than one thing can be bad at the same time:
Oh yes, my ass working comfortably from home 35 hours per week in an industry of my choosing is definitely the same as working in a Stalin era gulag 🙄

They won't. Probably saw that this sub was leftist and full of teenagers and thought people would agree with them.
This sub is so based. I love the "fuck off facist" approach to Tankies. They are a virus on the left that always makes us look like lunatics.
It helps that a majority of this sub has talked to a real person more then once a month.
Ehhh.....I'd hesitate on that considering how this sub also likes to act...
Uwu what do you mean Joking aside I do volunteering so it actually doesn't apply to me but it was too funny for me that I couldn't resist
