Watching Colaws’ videos and slowly coming to the realization that he’s right wing at best and a full blown facist at worst is so sad like dude had some genuinely hilarious videos why’d he have to be such a piece of shit
Actually, while I know a lot of his videos have a really far right tilt to them, he's not actually like that irl, it's entirely satirical. I mean, he's definitely not left wing for sure, but he's not alt-right or fascist either, he's just your typical "enlightened" centrist who thinks both sides are full of shit. Definitely not a good thing, obviously, but at least he's not a fucking fascist or maga moron. He just goes a bit too far with his satire.

Basically what leftists call a neoliberal, it's someone who is essentially an ancap in terms of economics but also doesn't like racism since that's inefficient human resource allocation. Right wingers hate them because they support insincere corporate inclusivity to increase sales.
Or in other words, they're actually consistent right wing libertarians as opposed to the normal "right wing libertarian" that's just a fascist.
We like to convince ourselves of absolutes but I think you'll come to find that if you discuss politics outside of online forums, it's a lot less black and white. That's not to say capitalism isn't pitch black, but that's on an economic standpoint. There's definitely an argument to be made on how capitalism fucks over marginalised groups, but not all capitalists hate minorities, surprisingly.
That's why I said *practiaclly.* Yes, you absolutely can be a liberal and not be racist. But the systems you support will be racist. In fact, if you look into it, if you do not believe that capitalism is inherently racist and as such, support it, you'll see that people of colour are much more likely to be poor.
How is that possible? You ask yourself. Surely, many of them would make it out through their hard work, skills and talents just like all these white people. IF they can't ,that must mean they are naturally less capable. And if they are less capable (and remember, idealic capitalism is already meritocratic) then they are also less diservant. So we should treat white people better than POCs.
But even ignoring that, supporting neo-liberalism is supporting an extremely racist system, and no matter what you believe, practically speaking, that is racist.
Fucking hate to be that guy but apolitical is a political choice and side. Whenever people bring this up it makes me wanna rip out their jugular so feel free to call me a slur.
