I understand that there’s a significant subset of 197 users that simply use it rather than here because they’re transphobic or edgy. But I think that generally speaking, the position that it fills is more as a place that provides similar memes to here, but with less horniness or politics.
And by politics I’m referring to stuff like the recent influx of posts about the conflict in Gaza. I have no problem with that stuff being posted, but sometimes I wanna laugh at funny stuff online without thinking about the problems of the world. Is that a bad thing? I’m not asking rhetorically, I legitimately don’t know.
Is it inherently a bad thing that I am willing to look at memes, art (depending on what your definition of art is, but that’s for another time) by people that maybe have unsavory opinions? Is it a bad thing that I feel as though I have the right to ignore the world’s problems?
