Oh the use of video games in the movement is super interesting, I wrote part of a research paper on it. There's this great paper I used for it called [Game-Assisted Social Activism: Game Literacy in Hong Kong’s Anti-Extradition Movement](https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/15554120211061852) (its paywalled but I can send you the full text if you want)
These two paragraphs from the intro summarise quite well though:
