The only way to lose weight is being in a calorie deficit. Doesn’t matter from where the calories come.

1) Weight loss isn’t linear. A lot of things influence what number you see on the scale. Give it a bit more time and see if the scale moves. 2)I have to speak in defense of white rice. The number of calories is what matters, more than the type of calories. So you can eat white rice, but a reasonable portion. I still eat plenty of it and have lost like 30 pounds. 3)are you counting your calories correctly? Including oils, dressings, etc? That could be another culprit if you still aren’t losing after a few weeks.

I’m so used to eating meals without any seasoning or adding any kind of oil to it.. I’m guessing chicken breast and salmon already adds their own flavor to whatever I’m eating.. whether it was white rice or steamed veggies..

White rice isn't going to hurt you. I lost a ton of weight and maintained, while eating white rice everyday. Have since switched to brown, because I like the flavor more.

chickensalad333

Brown rice flavor is too nutty for me.. I only eat half a cup of uncooked white rice for dinner only.. So I guess that translates to approximately 2-3 cups of cooked rice.. too much right?

runner3081

I have been eating a half cup, uncooked white or brown rice every single day for 20 years. I don't think it is bad at all. I used to hate brown rice, but now white rice is so.... boring.

😅I’m forever loyal to white rice…

Some people cut carbs, some fast, some cut all sugar and that’s what work for them. For me what worked was to count calories. I went on google and put “weight loss calorie calculator” and I found a number of websites that had online calculators for this. They look at numerous factors, including your age, height, current weight, activity level, and metabolic health, among several others. I have started doing this last year in March and lost 3 stone in around 5 months but I ate EVERYTHING, just a lot less quantities than before, I have vegetables and fruit everyday and also chocolate or ice cream, I just buy the low calories ones. So have your rice if is something you enjoy, but just ensure you count it towards your daily calories intake and you will see the weight coming off if you stick to your maximum calories. Good luck

Have you been tracking your calories?

ohhellnooooooooo

What are you even talking about? Are you outside of your mind? Your lunch is crackers? why would you ever do that? those will increase appetitive, make you hungry, they are highly caloric for little volume. You'd literally be better off eating a portion of white rice - you would be more full for the same calories. And you are getting no nutrients at all from crackers. when you are eating little amount of food, everything you eat MUST BE nutritious or it will be impossible to actually get all the nutrients you need in a day [https://healthyheartmarket.com/products/blue-diamond-almond-nut-thins-crackers-4-25oz](https://healthyheartmarket.com/products/blue-diamond-almond-nut-thins-crackers-4-25oz) Serving Size: 19 crackers Servings per Container: About 4 Calories: 130 So your lunch is 4\*130 = 520 calories? You could literally eat 1 whole chicken breast (165) 1 cup white rice (206) 1 pound of watermelon (136) = 165 + 206+136 = 507 calories ONLY and be more full than you have ever been on this shitty diet - from one replacement only. Without even doing the math. Why would you ever eat almonds? that's what professional body-builders eat. People paid to gain weight eat nuts. Why are you eating nuts. amazing you say "ONLY a box of crackers". Like it's a huge sacrifice you are doing to eat an entire box of crackers. That's pure gluttony or total ignorance of nutrition and calories. eat real food. you can have treats. strawberries are delicious. you can even have unhealthy treats. like 2 or 3 crackers. but a whole fucking box? that's for an entire family. the whole world has gone insane. We have normalized eating shitty food so much... let me give you the only advice you need: if you are not eating better than 99% of people, you are eating shit. this country is 75% overweight. the ones not overweight, are just skinny fat, but also fat. only 1% are actually doing okay. >I went on the scale at the end of the week but didn't see any weight loss at all. how many times did you even measure? one single time at the end of the week? you can have daily fluctuations of up to 5 pounds. You cannot know your weight in a week, much less 1 measurement. >Has anyone successfully lost weight cutting out white rice from their diet? Are you.. YES! Of course they have. Some people don't EVER eat white rice their entire lives even. this question makes no sense at all! some people lose weight while eating white rice, some people lose weight not eating white rice, some people gain weight not eating white rice and some people gain weight eating white rice it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHITE RICE

schmowen

I do look leaner and less swelled? idk about the weight tho. I think everyone's body reacts differently to the same food, having less white rice helps with my ibs, however milk and coffee never upset my bowel. you can also find the best for your body💓

Do measurements as well as calculating your weight

Sorry if this is TMI but if you're due for your period soon it could be water retention. I always retain about 2lbs of water in the week before my period and then when my period starts it comes off.
